You all need to team up with Nintendo but only in some ways. LIke with Metroid Prime 4 if you buy the game on Nintendo Switch then you can play multiplayer on that and xbox also. But allow Microsoft to have a multiplayer only purchase on xbox and Microsoft can handle a lot of online issues and Nintendo can still keep the campaign console exclusive. Money will fall from the sky I guarantee it. There is my feedback.
Ill forgive them if Infinity Ward comes out with Ghosts 2 next year and continues the Extinction story. They might have to throw that in to justify no campaign :)
I feel like they should just keep it call of duty if you will. How far down the rabbit hole are they willing to go from the normal formula that everybody expects and will that alone gain certain types of players while simultaneously losing others? The answer is yes but they might end up gaining even more players just because of the popularity of battle royale. They are gonna ride the crap out of this wave.

The only way MS would not produce consoles is if very long term deals were in place with existing and new console manufacturers. Especially since they are pumping money into this new subscription model etc. And I wonder how they would do if they went all pc. Would Sony and Nintendo ever let Xbox games be on their platform? Maybe they can team up with a new Sega or atari.
When most people hear the name of the big 3, the first thing that come to mind is games (generally speaking). With that being said each maker needs to cater to their biggest group of fans first, then go down the list. Are multiplayer centered games more important than single player games to the majority of Xbox fans? I don't know, maybe all their data tells them so. Power is great for marketing. This is just throwing a bone and a part of a longer term 4k marketing plan it seems. The next Xbox and PlayStation should be perfect for the golden years of 4k. Cant wait for that gen.
Just give me Metroid Prime 4 with world expansions that would unlock stuff for single player and unlock stuff for some kind of new mind blowing multiplayer. Throw in a 2d/3d side scrolling adventure with Trine like visuals, then unexpected mind blowing dlc for that, to slowly transform your 2d gaming experience (while watching screen) into a total 3d or vr one, while listening to new alien mind blowing music with immersive headphones and the best display, to cause you to cream yourself.
Well it would be retarded of Microsoft to reveal Xbox One X numbers from a business perspective, especially since the games play on all their consoles. But of course that's just my opinion. If I was a dev I thinking about enhancing for the X then I would like to know the numbers.

I just like if you know what your paying for. A random chance for something is robbery. I like Fortnite skins and emotes (free to play too) but hated black ops 3 random loot boxes.
