What's wrong with satanic references and demonic symbols ? You do realize that in the game you are fighting this, right ?
The entire point was to have you fighting demons, from hell.

Oh, yes, definitely. The game probably looks better in many ways !
The downgrade is definitely not as big as some have been claiming . I remember back in the 35 minute demo, which I think could have been from a build that looked just as good as VGX, people kept saying downgrade for that. The comparisons they made were laughable. Completely different locations, time of day, angle, everything.
Comparing close ups to sweeping shots and comparing texture quality ? lol....
Yeah, whatever said and done, if you have a good rig, this game should look great.
1) So why not ditch hairworks, and not downgrade everything else ? A 980gtx performs incredibly well without hairworks on. Hairworks is taking away b/w 10 to 20 fps !
2)Not sure if you know this, but the patch actually upped the graphics quality on PC. Better detail, draw distance etc etc. In other words - they already upgraded it, so performance is going to be slightly worse. A website comparing the two said that the difference was like an extra graphics setting.

wtf dude. Really ?
This article has literally nothing to do with that anyway. Atleast keep downgrade whining on graphic comparisons/ downgrade thread.
If there is a downgrade on PC for the sake of parity, then that's unfortunate, CDPR will get flak for it, but give some damn credit where it's due. CDPR also deserve huge respect for the amount of content they give all of us.
They deserve respect for creating such a massive game acros...
Crytek completely dumbed down their games. They were still good games, but remember that it's not the graphics that suffered most. It was gameplay, complexity, physics and simulation, and overall interactivity that really suffered.
CDPR's PC version is still going to be a kickass PC game ! Yes there is a huge graphics downgrade, which should get CDPR some flak. However, gameplay and complexity has only grown from previous games.
Also, I really do...
"Remember, graphics are what allowed Crytek to achieve video game perfection and became the dominant studio in gaming"
I think you're being sarcastic, but there was a time when amazing gameplay made Crytek king of the fps. Grahpics, gameplay, simulation, INTERACTIVITY.
I don't hate consoles. I think they've brought a ton of amazing experiences to the table However, Crysis was one of those franchises that suffered with the move to conso...
'subatomic'
LOL. You really have no idea do you ? xD Just how many features have been axed/toned down completely.
Oh, and another recent confirmation - screenspace reflections removed entirely from the game. No more reflections in the swamps, at all xD. No more reflections on puddles and wet ground either. Just ugly cubemaps. No downgrade though. It's just youtube compression. Besides, I'm sure the difference is 'subatomic' anyway.

Great job on getting the PS4 version looking good. Good job on the game, because clearly people love it.
Bad job on going for parity with the PC version. Axing so many features even on PC, because, who knows, extra graphic options might hurt someone, right ?
This just in, all those screenspace reflections removed entirely. Which is fine, if that's what's need for a stable 30 fps on consoles.
Option on PC to retain it ? Nope. Why ? Donno. If ...
The water and reflections
Right now that's the only thing I care about.
Holy shit the water has been downgraded xD Look at end of the video. Like everything else, they just ramp up the colour factor to 11 to hide it, make it deep blue and green, and reduce everything else.
Also, was unsure about this before, but now we can confirm - no more screenspace reflections. Basically no good looking reflections anymore, especially in swamps. Puddles don...
Completely besides the point.
Why wouldn CDPR not give us the option to leave it on ?
It's just sad the way they're treating the PC port this time.
If it's for parity sake, they should be ashamed of themselves.
Also, no, it's not that easy to add rendering features to a game. The insider leak says screenspace reflections are completely gone, with a new, cheaper method used, which is probably what we see in main water ...
They haven't kept them in as options. That's the point.
Source must be reliable, because I confirmed from footage the stuff he said.
In latest PC ultra footage, there are no more realtime reflections in swamps and puddles, like there used to be. There is no more blood on the water either ; something which this insider confirmed.
You can see they don't use water tesselation most of the time. It looks flat.
Recent ...
big time. It looks plain ugly now
Groud zeroes also looks like shit compared to TW3. It's not magic. The only reason it can run at 60 fps is becaue visually it is not close to TW3.
Not bashing MGS5. Should be great. Not to mention Ground Zeroes PC port was brilliant, and looked great too.
Was playing TLOU on PS3 at a friend's house a couple of days ago.
Can confirm ND are Voodoo Shamans.
@The_Infected
Implying Crytek make only good looking games and nothing else ? Crysis 2 and 3, despite having dumbed down gameplay and simulation, beat most other fps games when it came to gameplay, and are among the highest rated fps games of the time.
Don't even get me started on Crysis 1 and Warhead. The simulation of a living breathing world and Oh Lord, the INTERACTION. Talk about good gameplay. Tons of game mechanics with a complex simulation and p...
You'll be happy to know that blood splatter on water is removed.
Also, puddles no longer have real time reflections.
Maybe it was artistic decision. Puddles look better without realtime reflections amiright ?
You browse n4g, and you didn't know that Ciri was a playable character ? O_o
That news was literally everywhere.
