yes, but i only went through one and didn't buy a replacement :P
so sad too, because its predecessor happily humms away as my upstairs dvd/media player.
How about the inability to find tune companion assignments. Even in neverwinter nights 1, i could tell my companion to only use a bow or hand to hand melee weapons.. or at what point to heal me.. or how far to follow behind me.
Yes its nice to arm them as i please, but essentially, you can tell them to wait here (which doesn't work for pets as they ignore the command and will come running), or your fired.
that's my main complaint so far..... i...
The original xbox was a great piece of hardware. Including a hard drive, onboard nic, beefy cpu/gpu and memory for the time. Its no wonder MSFT never made a profit selling a single one (iirc!!). The engineering at the time put into developing this system was second to none with an x86 architecture so closely mirroring the PC that it allowed for some of the most extensive homebrew ever to be established.
The exclusives it brought to the table offered a nice alternative ...

thanks, found the link. just from watching a bunch of different videos that's what it appeared as. Pretty interesting, not sure if i agree, but you can only do so much with your processing power and adding in the extra cars and ai's gotta come from somewhere.
this is what i asked, but nobody has seemed to respond..
Does all of the races in F4 really take place at the same time of day.. i.e. same light source position, etc. etc. ?? I understand that the developers didn't include day/night; rain/etc.. but it feels as though there is this box that the world exists in, and the tracks are all just placed in there .
Now i don't own f4, so this is why im asking. that was the most glaring thing that stood out between the comparison.
sarcasm is lost on the internets apparantly
i own an ps3 and owned a 360; and Resistance 2 was one of my favorite fps to be honest. i played it more than mw2.
but i typically hate fps on console, so maybe im just different.
Wow takes in > 1.5 billion annually, so you might want to rethink your COD comment.
a little smaller profit here. but basically the same. they obviously arn't selling it to retailers at 150 a piece, or are games selling to retail at 50 either.
But even at say 130 to retail (though typically periphials have a much higher profit margin i retail), and 45 per game to retail . still a nice and tidy profit after adv and mft costs.
msft has done a much better job than sony at capturing the casual market space back from the wii with this...
@Vega72
assuming you are playing in gtlife mode?
go get your formula gt out, crash into a wall. now go to the gt auto, and select Restore Body Rigidity.
...
on 2nd though, go pick a civic before you perform the above test so you aren't hit with a 500,000 bill to fix the car you damaged.
now if you are playing arcade mode, you have the option for which damage is in place at the beginning of each race...so hope...
awesome reply.
Or you could not like Steam due to the extensive data-mining it performs once installed on your system.
Privacy isn't a right.....but at least at one point in time it was respected.
You go OUTSIDE and meet them?
"Alan Wake- Virtually no real advertising outside of certain tidbits on the internet, exclusive horror titles don't exactly pen to a huge crowd (although I still call AW a psy. thriller, I don't see that sort of genre for it), and May was a pretty packed month."
Bioshock sales seem to disagree with this notion. Then again, it was a fps type "exclusive" horror title..... "exclusive" for > year a least...
you average maybe 2.x mil sold over the lifetime of the console games, if you port to the wii; how much further would you net minus what you loose off your own console? Also you'll receive less profit for the wii port due to the lower price point.
If you even have 100,000 consoles sold due to the game exclusivity, you'll earn more from other game sales + exclusive sales than the money you'd make from the port itself.
@N4PS3G : Misleading numbers when you compare the release dates. I think the same happened to R&C:ACIT, which released at the end of the month in Oct as well, and had something like "only" 100k in first month in sales(which totaled 5 days?), but then went on to sell like a million copies. Similar thing is happening here, though both titles are seeing healthy sales for new IPs.
old story, previous story on an English news site stated 360 controller used in conjunction w/ PC.
Because IW.net(p2p) will totally prevent all sorts of cheating from taking place right? If you believe that, i have a bridge to sell you. seriously.
In the end, this decision basically prevents any sort of coherent MW2 community from ever forming. I'm not sure this is the best business practice, but apparently IW/AV wants to find out this answer. I would think that inherently this would NOT be the case as there currently still exists dedicated servers for CS which is 10yrs old ...
looks interesting, would love to have a key to try this out.
