Who here is old enough to remember the Commodore 128 & Spectrum 128?
Those too were touted as being the 'evolution' over their C64 & Spectrum 48k counterparts and both failed terribly within months.
Developers were reluctant to split their resources developing for the extra feature set when they could just focus on the established and existing users base, and users didnt buy the computers until there were more games catering to those featu...
