I agree. The melee characters add a new kind of play style, but it would've been awesome to have upgraded weapons that get more powerful with every successive pick up. The grenade launcher was good and the whip was cool, but it could've used a few more.

Yeah, it seems like you get a handful of FF characters if that. Good to see the content, but I wish Square would step it up too.
It is very, very pretty. Wish there was a bit more content, but at an indie price point, I can't complain. If the visual style grabs you, I highly recommend supporting Zoink Games!
It's very good looking and fun to play, but lacks the modes and content I usually go for. Fun though!

I did go back and forth scoring this one. While I enjoyed it a bit, that's mainly due to my bias on Saints Row. I wouldve rated the game higher if the technical performance was up to snuff.
There's plenty of content, but a lot of it fell flat for me. I agree with you on the animation, though. Those scenes were great.
I'm a fan of the game as a standard experience, just never saw it in VR. I remembered your comment earlier and almost grabbed it to try on PSVR, but I'm a bit swamped with games for review. Will most likely check it out. Thanks for the recommendation!
I've heard this several times. Having already played the game, I didn't return to it in VR. I cant recommend anything without giving it a proper go, but I hear it quite often.
Second opinions are always appreciated! I loved the first game, and acknowledge the shortcomings of the VR Verizon. However, I found the VR addition pretty fun.
It's decently put together, but there's some issues for sure.
Hey man, I'm with you on t. However, Lion King is the one game I've consistently heard called this.
I find a lot of reviews just hover around 7's. The important thing is finding a critic who you think has similar taste as you.
I actually did consider that for this list, but I have a more PC centric one in mind that Warcraft/Starcraft fall into.
I do agree that it should probably be included.
I was very surprised by how tight the controls were and the level of quality in the pixel art. I had an absolute blast playing through it in local coop with my brother. The comforting memories of blissful childhood came flooding in. Still has its flaws, but I really hope more people check this gem out.
