I'm about 5 hours on it and all I can say is that the game is Gorgeous. Both visually and musically. The production levels are surprisingly high. I'm currently playing 2 games, this and RDR2, and even though RDR2 is visually top notch, Genshin Impact doesn't pale. It has its own beauty and particular feeling.

Wouldn't be 4Billion to start with. Once you have many companies interested, the price only goes higher.

Second, companies don't make acquisitions based only on Cash on hand. You also need to look at Net Profits and other metrics.

Last but not least, the biggest acquisition Sony has even made for the Interactive Division was Insomniac... and that's 1/20 of what WB Interactive would cost them. Just to put that in perspective.

Lol.. nice googling but you're mixing concepts. Market value or net worth doesn't determine if a company can or cannot hace an acquisition. There are companies with a big Net worth that can't afford making big acquisitions. You have the concepts all mixed up.

Aside from the PlayStation division, Sony is essentially a hardware manufacturer with no high margins. Sales-wise, one would say it can compete with Microsoft... but that'...

Of course not... it's just way too risky for Sony to acquire company that will need very heavy investment on top in order to make it profitable in the long run. Makes more sense for MS as it would add more content to add people to GamePass, which as of now is receiving a lot of cash flow from the corporation for a business model that isn&...

Not saying it's not true... but I'll wait until actual units are sent to non controlled environments where actual users can review the console with every game they want to, not those previously chosen by Sony.

Sony Corp. have been milking the PlayStation Division for years in order to maintain on float the rest of it. While some of them have somehow recovered (i.e. TV), it doesn't mean that they can just go ahead and spend 1/4 of their cash on hand on a company like WB Interactive, which has just been restructured in order to make it profitable again. You need a lot of financial muscle not only to perform this operation but also to maintain it.

I'm surprised Patcher wrote this. Anyone with google will know that Sony isn't in a position to spend 4Billion on anything. Sony could (and should) be looking to buying an studio but not a publisher.

No way TLOU2 is GOTG... It's very clear that it's between The Witcher 3 and God of War. I'd say, God of War win as the best pound by pound game, and the Witcher as the overall 100+ hour experience.

Yet, it was promoted as a 8K gaming card.

A Remaster and a Free upgrade is basically the same. Cyberpunk, Destiny 2, Gears 5 and many others are receiving next-gen upgrades and they're free.

We've seen quite a lot from Gears 5 upgrade, with vastly improved visuals AND performance... up to 120fps in multiplayer. That upgrade is going to be 100% free, and the same will happen with many other titles. I don't see why it should be different with Spider-Man.
