It is impossible for Sony to lose Gran Turismo because Sony own Polyphony Digital and the Gran Turismo IP. Polyphony, in other words, is simply one of Sony's many first party studios. I think if we see GT on anything other than the PS3, it'll be the PSP and PS2. But I don't think Sony would ever dilute the Sony brand image, or its association with one of its flagship titles, by releasing Gran Turismo on a non PlayStation platform. If it were to happen, I guarantee that Microsoft would be trum...

Does anyone else find that image of the half naked boy with his 360 controller disturbing? It looks more like child porn !

This guy, like many commentators in the media, has been blinded by the term 'next gen', mistaking it for the games market as a whole. Within the emerging sub-market of 'next gen' consoles, the 360 is technically ahead of the PS3 in terms of sales. Yet, MS have paid a heavy price for selling the 360 at such a low price, and continue even now, to make a loss on each console. Sony, on the other hand, minimised the loss they made on each console by selling at a premium price. Moreover, such a hi...

the PS3 and 360 are equal in power, then why does the PS3's launch titles look as good, if not better, than the 360's second generation of titles? This guy is incorrect in saying that the 360 has an advantage in terms of memory. The PS3's RSX can access the 256 MB of XDR RAM if it needs it. Moreover, the XDR System RAM runs at 3.2 Ghz, along with 256 MB GDR RAM @ 800 Mhz (I think), whereas the 360 has a uniform 512 MB GDR RAM @ 800 Mhz (I think). In both cases, memory has to be used for graph...

This sounds like a misquote, or a misunderstanding. All three next generation consoles are using a variation of the IBM Power 6 CPU, but only the PS3 is using a Cell processor, which was co-developed by Sony, Toshiba, and IBM (the STI group). There isn't a snow flakes chance in Hell that Sony would allow MS or Nintendo to use the Cell processor. The Cell processor is one of Sony's trump cards. However, the STI group do intend to use the Cell processor in a number of different ways, from medic...
