When reading the title and saw "at least", I was expecting something around $5 millions. The game should be around 4 millions copies worldwide by now. That is an average close to 0.40 cents per copy. If you tell me, I don't consider this a big number, unless those req packs are cheap.
This time I will wait for the definitive version that will come in 2018 or 2019 with all the DLC for $40.
I have spent $60 for the first game + $35 for the Expension then got the taken king for $20 on sales during the holidays. Since I have 3 other of my friends playing this game it was fun playing with them and I really have spend a lot of hours in this game. But I can't help feeling like I have been cheated in paying $120 for a game that could have been available for much less ...
So Sony with the PS4 which is selling ahead of the PS3 at the moment launch aligned is abandoning Japon!!! Makes perfect sense
Ps4 currently at 36 millions if only 5% buy some of the games, those games might be millions sellers.
Well for the first 4 years of the last generation I honestly believe Wii was the best console available. For the combo (price + motion control + games) I honestly believe Wii was the best choice unless shooters are the only thing you care about. But after 4 years, when both Xbox 360 and PS3 had their huge price cut, more software and trying their own motion control, they became the better consoles.
After 4 years the Wii reached numbers even ahead of the PS2, but it died very quickly...
Competition is good. I am thankful to MS because of the Xbox 360, we have now this amazing console that is the PS4. But I also have something against MS. They introduced online pay, they have also encourage that DLC approach, because of that we have now half game with DLC that were suppose to come with the game.
Beside that competition is good.
This is just business. MS is not in a leading position and securing consile exclusive will be cheap. So some will get release on PC. Even the PS4 who is leading by far still have some big exclusive shared with PC. It is business people. And Xbox One is here to stay if you though that would affect their sales.
#thisgamer503, I have no problem admitting being wrong if I was. Microsoft PR have most of the time been about shipped numbers. I am just glad Greenberg came out and twitted those numbers are sold through. As soon as I read the twit I knew I had to come here and let others know.
After seeing the surge in December, I think the game will have some healthy legs. Probably another 700K+ on Xbox before releasing on the PS4. Although Xbox One have some good exclusives coming this year, this...
When I owned a PS3 and was just a student who had a lot of time to spare, I didn't care since it was free. But now that I am paying for this to play games on the PS4, I am kind of mad with those down happening a bit too often. I had some free time to play online today but I could not.
COD was at $40 at some point in December, Fallout too. This is what happen in December you get discount, and you get more sales. And No, the sale didn't last the whole December, it was for like 2 weeks.
Correction to myself. Those numbers are sold through, confirm by Aaron Greenberg. Apparently they had a huge december. Good to know. It seems like good review and the December sales (was at $40 for two weeks if I remember correctly ) helped a lot.
So the game didn't flop that hard at the end. Franchise will survive fine
Guys, this is 1 million "shipped + digital" and that 1 million "shipped + digital" include two consoles: Xbox One and Xbox 360 so no it is not enough.
Yeap. I am having really a hard time thinking that MS was the only one going getting rid of the used game practice. I honestly believe Sony was about to do the same, cause let us be honest here, no used game market means more and I mean a lot more money for those company. But after seeing the backslash MS received, Sony was smart to sell the idea "we are saving gaming cause we care about gamers".
The problem with MS reveals was not the DRM, always online or always kinect but how does DRM, always online or always kinect benefits me??
If they explained properly their friends family sharing, if crackdown 3 was a launch title, if they had a lot of unique voice commands games, and if they had a Yu-Gi-Oh game like which is totally voice commands: "Activate trap card 2", "Dark Magician attacks blue eye dragon"... What I mean to say if people saw the "why"...
This game will definitely change Xbox One forever. But this change could be either a very good one (if delivers what seems to be promised) or a very bad one (if the game turns out to be destructible environment only with poor gameplay)
So both Bloodborne and Halo 5 got left out. This list is going to make both side mad lmao
I find it hard to believe that Xbox One owners are not worried. Me a PS4 owner is currently worried that MS is losing so badly. Cause right now after the floop from Tomb Raider and Sunset Overdrive (both good game from what I have seen) it has become very difficult for MS to secure exclusives in the future or exclusives deal... Something they did a lot last gen and that helped them a lot.
What I predict is that MS will start the next gen early and mess up both Xbox One and PS4 owners....
I cannot stand that lie "Sony had a free pass this gen". What media have you been reading??? Media saying PSX was bad, Media dooming PS4 for not showing at gamescon, Media talking about how Xbox One has been improving while PS4 stay still, media calling everytime Xbox One making a come back, media saying resolution doesn't matter, media about dx12, media about cloud, media about "the greatest xbox line up in history"..??? I could go on but you guys really need to stop t...
Wait @Pistol can you tell me when the PS4 was $50 less than Microsof??? You have to stop with the lie, makes you look really bad...
Not possible, this is Microsoft we are talking about, the company make a shit ton of money. They make so much money that Xbox Fan says loosing some in the Xbox division would not hurt them at all and that they will keep investing on Xbox because they have the money for that.
