I wont do it, and dont get me wrong. It's worth it, but I see the DSi and the PSP 3000, and all I can say is.

There'll be someting better later.

Yes. And the world doesn't need the Mc Donald's Happy Meal because you grew up and dont need anymore. Leave the kids behind, with all of those who doesn't want to see a gun in their games. Because you want all the games to be for adults.

Hope you wont have kids, they'll grow in a bloodbath, and raise hardcore :(

I agree with you, all the imagination models kicked ass. Kinda remind of Matrix 3, when everyone was making theories about what was going on there, and the movie was a lot simplier than all of'em. I just expect the NGP not to dissapoint me, as that movie did.

But, if all it does is graphics... I'm already dissapoined.

Taking in account that there's as many fanboys of nintendo as there's of Sony, they'll do well in sales. Personally, and trying to stay in a neutral point, I'll take the 3DS. Sorry, but handheld market should be treated different, it's made to play in little bursts, you cant put a player to see how freaking awesome the graphics are in a bus or waiting in the line.

Sony did what I was NOT expecting to do. They just packed all the tech they could in the case...

I really like this article. Why, you ask? Because it's talking about HOW we play our games, and not WHAT games we do play. I'm really bored of hardore gamers who think that hardcore is the same as bullets, blood, gore and sex. And that's not the point. Hardcore gamer is one who really love to play, it doesn't matter if he/she plays Halo, Harvest Moon, COD or Rhythm Paradise.

It's about being dedicated, useful to the gamer community, and most important: HA...

This is an impressive new, no matter how you look at it: First, I'm glad to know that there are other gamers than those hateable "hardcore gamers" that spend more time playing than yelling in the internet. A videogame guinnes record that doesnt belong to one of those. And, no matter how you llok at it:

"85 years old man gets 2.850 games. Impressive."
"85 years old is still able to hack a wii game. Impressive."

Why do I want HD in a small screen? I want big batteries for travel, gimme that for once, and I´m sold

The truht is really simple: every person who says that Nintendo needs to change with the player, forgets that they were playing Nintendo when they were kids. And that there's a new generation of kids that are playing kid's games. And I'm pretty sure they're playing Nintendo, you know, the wii is cheap, those franchises go along well with kids, and their parents are happy because they're not hearing shootings and bloodbaths every callof... emm.. every second.

It affects you because no matter how big is the screen, it'll never match real life "definition" tath's sized in quantum details. So, when you see a object far in a 3D movie and want to see it better, you try to "focus" your eyes on it. The problem is, it works in the real world, where the object exists, but doesnt work in a movie, wherer the object is -probably- a mere group of pixels being interpreted by your mind.

Your eyes and mind become reall...

We wont see'em (big leaps in tech.) if they're not affordable too.. that was a big part of the wii economical success... remember when the PS3 launched? My pockets were biting me to dead until I fed'em enough to get a PS3.

My theory is that the PS3 is increasing sales because many people like me were saving every penny to afford one. It's worth the effort.

Also, I personally like the wii, because it make us to see that there's other limi...

I know, and I agree with you. But all I said was that by the standars of the article, wich is assuming that more power = next gen, consoles are less than a PC, in power terms.

Consoles are -well, in theory- made for gaming purposes, so they got all the games. But nobody can deny that Crisys runs and looks better in PC, with a powerful -and expensive as hell- machine.

You're right, but missed the point. btw, I Think I spend more time playing ISSS and Top G...

The Wii is a next-gen console. By the -foolish- standars of this article, all the consoles are last gen compared to a pc: Full upgradeable, best online experience, best graphics, psychics, 1080p is nothing compared to a 5000x1200+ in three 3d monitors.

The wii changed the world, even if hardcore gamers dont want to admit it, cos it chaged the way ppl see and use controllers, and that's more important than any ram/gpu/cpu/HD that u can get in the market. Sony and MS are fo...

well, tell me if FPS has done anything new since goldeneye. Or if GOW has done anything new since TMNT IV: Turtles in Time. Or GT5 since Top Gear. There are really many few companies that has done anything new (I`m thinking on Journey right now), but's not about doing new things. It's about doing things right, and Nintendo knows how to do it.

Sorry'bout Zelda not being a bloodbath, though. U can blame Nintendo for that, but, who cares?

@Parapraxis

If you are using it to PLAY, yes, it's a toy. If you're using for working, is a work tool. And if you're using it for playing MP3... is a freakin big MP3

4876d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

well, Videogames has the word GAME, and a GAMES are meant to be played, as Toys.
At least, that's common sense says. PS3 and 360 are toys -like wii- but they have enchanced mp3 and HD and stuff. But they´re toys at least, cos you are using'em mainly for playing. Am I right?

4876d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

I say it's completely possible, and it will do it.. if the battery life is just 15 minutes, and the handheld costs about $400

Oh, is Pachter. Next.
