30fps photos? You mean videos?
You can call it a massive win, I see it as a forced reaction to the strong exclusive lineup of the competition. The game surely is successful on Xbox and it probably even helped MS sell a good amount of consoles but it doesn't solve their problem at all. It is a short term patch for a long term problem.
In terms of hardware there is no need for a response at all. Sony is in the driver seat and with the upcoming games lineup there is no reason for them to react to anything right now. They are probably planning out the PS5 architecture as we speak that will presumably release somewhere around 2020.
If anything Nintendo is more likely to cause a reaction of some sort from Sony.
It'll probably be a Destiny-like grindy time waster. If you enjoy that kinda stuff you'll probably enjoy Anthem as well. But looking at EA right now, even if they execute the game design properly there is always the risk that they'll screw it all up with greedy microtransactions. A talented dev team is no guarantee for a good game under the EA flag these days. I wouldn't be surprised if wasn't even Bioware's decision to make that type of game to begin with.
No way. Maybe It'll top PSOne though.
I wouldn't call a poll research. Especially if it it limited to the US and only polled 3000 people. Not to mention that the buyers were only alowed to select "up to" 3 buying factors.
How so? The level- and enemy-design looks good. The power looks interesting. I'm cautiously optimistic about this.
@UltraNova: They could show a new cinematic trailer with a short gameplay teaser at the Game Awards and keep the detailed gameplay reveal for PSX. Would be a win-win situation for both shows.
Yep. I laughed my ass off watching the Han Solo dance in Yong's video: https://youtu.be/VKYjManNul...
Microtransactions are one of the main reason why they've quintupled their stock value since the beginning of this console generation. While I want to celebrate EA's loss of money over their greedy practices, it's merely a bump in the road compared to the profit they've made with those same practices over the last four years. That's why it's so important that we as gamers perservere in our efforts to put an end to this.
Hopefully in better designed games.
Unnecessary. They've got the message. If the gaming community keeps standing against these practices once the media fuss is over it should be enough to make them rethink their strategy.
Agreed.
From my experience seeing some people struggle with Bloodborne the biggest problem is that they are afraid of the difficulty too much. It's like the game got in their head and they start panicking. And then they start playing way to safe. Timing is everything in this game. If you spam the dodge button as soon as you see an attack you're probably going to get hit. Learn to read the animations of the enemies. Learn to parry. Take risks but don't overdo it. Keep your surroundings in ...
Make your voice heard. If enough people show interesst in an Xbox port they might do it.
Yeah it's in the article: "500k units sold in 3 months, which puts the project beyond breakeven and into profit. Our prediction was to be at this point in 6 months from release."
That's definitely good but I'm surprised it "only" sold 500k by now. It's an excellent game and should be supported more especially in a time where the big publishers are trying to suck as much money out of our pockets as they can.
It would be ...
Yeah I've read about that. Temporary image retention is supposed to still happen though with larger logos or HUDs being displayed for an extended time. And permanent burn in has been shown to be possible under very extreme conditions with the B6 which has the pixel shift too ( http://www.rtings.com/tv/le... I'm just curious wether someone has experienced some negative effects with...
I'm looking to get the C7 soon. Do you notice any image retention and burn in effects?
Or maybe people are just waiting until all the changes are made before re-evaluating the whole situation. Making the Heroes more attainable is one step in the right direction but it's not nearly enough to fix the game. EA have said that they'll probably bring MTs back once they've changed them. You can't expect all of the critics to just forget the rest of their crtitcisms and throw their money at EA now especially after EA has lost it's trust with most of them.
There have been a lot of great photo modes in the last couple of years. Infamous: SS deserves some credit as it was one of the first games that set the trend for photomodes in games.
