why discriminate content when taste is subjective? one's "Life of Black Tiger" is another's "Witcher 3." the only thing online stores should allow is for users to rate content so that the popular "cream" rises to the top...
as one who 100%-ed the Complete Edition, wait until you have A LOT of free time. things will distract you from continuing the main story...
i don't think XBox is capitalizing on it's wave of nostalgia seeing as they're giving away BC for free with little return. sure a bump in sales of old 360/OG titles, but that's a little return for a lot of software development and legal wrangling. resources better spent on new first-party IP...
i would say PS is capitalizing more on the nostalgia as remaking/remastering old games for new platforms allow them to satisfy those nostalgic gamers, at the same tim...
i approve...
sorry Andy, you don't get to talk like that yet. GT "failed" when one installment sold 4.5m copies on the PS3 alone, come back when you've at least matched their "failure..."
i'll take Sony being "silly," rather than MS trying to "buy" their way to the gamer's hearts (via BC & XPP) after trying to reduce their customer's rights of first sale...
that's being said Sony will look at XPP again if there are more games than just two (Minecraft & Rocket League) that call for it...
disingenuous for Jim Sterling to call two games the "games industry..."
that's true if you don't have a good PC...
do other manufacturers have one when they have higher-end versions of their products? other than: "the PS4 Pro is a higher end version of the PS4", or "the XBox One X is a highest end version of the XBox One?" some people think too much...
i retract my statements...
if they put Fatal Frame 1 & 2 on that list, i'm in...
heh, that 600 m hours PER WEEK stat puts a certain 508 m hours usage stat in perspective...
well, "X" is later on down the alphabet from "S." my little brother will finally inherit my OG XBox One. i prefer the Black aesthetic to the S's White aesthetic...
let's see...
508 m hrs of BC usage...
roughly 50% of XB1s used BC. the last estimate of XB1s is 30m. thus, 50% is 15m...
so, each XB1 that used BC used it for about (508m hrs/15m XB1s) 33.86 hrs (less than a day & a half) average...
BC has been available for 575 days (from Nov. 12, 2015)...
so, for the 575 days that BC was around, XB1s only used it for 1 & 1/2 days...
that's even less than the Ars Technica data...
...
let's see...
BC launched on Nov. 12, 2015, so 574 days...
508m hrs / 15 m XB1 = 33.86 hrs / Xb1 average....
so, out of 574 days worth of one XB1 console usage only 34 hrs (less than a day & a half) was for playing BC games. seems in line with the Ars Technica data...
or, worse since Ars Technica only polled 913K XB1s, Mike's numbers encompass all XB1s that used BC...
i calmly agree...
heh, up next PS5's SOC...
depends on who puts up the money, but MS will be last on the list given recent events...
they should, but it should be when Nintendo releases the N64 mini...
anyone who plays games is a gamer...
anyone who plays games as a hobby or pastime is a casual gamer...
anyone who plays games extensively for reasons other than being a hobby/pastime is a hardcore gamer, regardless of preferences...
right, like Sony is going to allow XBox Live to inflate their MAU numbers by using XPP to have PS4 users create new XBL accounts. for all the noise, the "goodwill" that Sony will get for that is insignificant no matter how loud people like Jim Sterling shouts. Sony earns more goodwill by offering their users new games...
Sony already got burnt when offering "features," PS3 had full PS1/PS2 BC, an above-average Blu-ray player and PSN multi-player online w...
