This is hilarious, Don't they know saying that the console is focused on the "hardcore" gamer is more a "Mark Of Excellence" that appeals to gamers of all stripes? It's like saying a tool is "Professional grade"
It denotes a higher level of quality that a professional or a hardcore user (gamer) expects from it.

Well, what do you expect? To CNN, Professional is an alien term.

The shame is, When Microsoft buys a studio it is most certainly it death, MS has a habit of buying Dev studios to prop up a new console release and within 2 years Shutters them.

MS is so obsessed to dominate every market they enter that they have no problem burning everything down in the process.

Yeah, I went to a Gamestop about a year after the PS4 launched and the person behind the counter was telling people that the PS4 was a bad buy and that the XBone was a future proof buy, he ACTUALLY said ALL Sony first party studios would be purchased by MS and that every game would be released on the XBone within the year. It was EXACTLY as you said, No Hyperbole at all, man.

Funny, I love how All of a sudden Sony just doesn't know how to market a gaming console any more.

Is this a delusional Sony hater fever dream?

Stadia's ultimate downfall will be many things, Personally I feel that the most egregious is how much you lose over traditional systems, specifically a library that you don't have to constantly pay for to play.

Sounds like Miyamoto is pulling an ObiWan.
waves his hand "This is no problems with Nintendo"

Thanks for the information, I remember reading somewhere that dealing with Nintendo was a super PITA back in the day when it came to putting a game on it's platforms..

The Wii would probably have been much better if Nintendo kept using it's vetting process (The Nintendo seal of excellence or whatever it was called) to make sure games were quality. At the end of the day the Wii was buried under tons and tons of worthless shovel-ware.

"Sony seems to be slowly evolving to make PS5 a success. "

Yeah, because Sony was on their way to failure before These changes. (⸮) BLAH...

well...I guess I'll be picking this game up.

I'm just glad that Sony is doubling down on all the things they have been doing for the past 30 years. That is why I have no doubt in my mind that the PS5 and it's games will be amazing and will set the standard that demolishes every under cooked or harebrained, consumer rights destroying concepts designed to replace them.

IDK, sounds like business as usual at Sony and PlayStation...you know...the reason why they are the best.

It needs to die, This is all kinds of bad. Google is the real version of the Buy n' Large corporation from the movie "Wall-e" They are the kind of company that Dystopian Scifi movies are based on.

Personally, I don't want to live on "Planet Google"®

well, Once console gaming collapses...AGAIN! At least, at the end of the day there will still be the reliable old PC gaming...

hype? If Sony opened up pre-ordering the PS5 right now with no other info besides price, I would already have one reserved....

amen, brother....service based is a non starter for me....I can tollerate digital as long as they are very cheap or until I get the same rights as disc based games.

"Johnny Silverhand" sheesh, If that isn't lazy naming I don't know what is? I wonder what were the other choices they had while coming up with a name for the character? Johnny mirroredsunglasses? Johnny noshirtflackjacket?

Adding to Ultranova's point,
Almost all of Microsoft's products or "technologies" have been purchased, From Dos to directX as well as Office were developed by other companies and later purchased by MS and rebranded.

MS is LITERALLY a company that stood on the shoulders of giants to get where they are today!
To belittle Sony for doing anything remotely similar is pretty ironic, to say the least.
