If you are going to tell lies at least make them believable ...
What utter bollox!
$60 is a lot for an expansion ... with a few extras thrown in ...
People seem to be forgetting that HL2 Episode 2 is an expansion, not a fully realised stand alone game. Episode 1 was $19.99 on release (now $9.99).
Portal was always touted as a free bonus for purchasing the package, and Team Fortress 2 is a real bonus, but it is only an updated mod that used to be free. But giving the benefit of the doubt, it should be worth the same as DoD:S ($9.99) - saying that, wasn't DoD:S free if you bought the Silver pack?.
As for HL2 an...
In 10 months, i've been able to use my 360 for 7 of them - it's away again for repair ...
It's in a well ventilated room, not stood on its side and nothing around it to stop it getting rid of the heat ... and I live in England, so the weather can;t be blamed for the overheating :p
In fairness, they have assured me that I will get 1 month of Live back, but what about the other 2 months ...
I love the console, and there are some incredible games - b...
Appears too much per month for similar features to Guild Wars ... I guess it's a wait and see ... especially regarding the speed of rolling out the new content
Also need clarity - if you pay the monthly fee and aquire some good items, do you lose them if you stop paying your sub?
Reserving judgement until launch ... shame that there is still missing info, and uncertainty as this has moved from a must buy for me to a wait and see ...
I was starting to buy into the idea that the conservatives were starting to get on the right track and focussing on parents taking responsibility, etc ... but WTF ... talk about jumping on a bandwagon and blaming something that should be controlled by the parents in any case.
The games are clearly marked (exactly the same as DVDs) - so if a parent allows a kid to play an 18 game then it is the parents fault not the industry - end of story !
Maybe he should look b...
THQ doing their usual trick ... refused to buy Stalker after the way they have just abandoned Titan Quest ... I will never buy another one of their games again ... no point putting good money after bad, no matter how good the potential of the game ...
Nice ot see that people are slowly but surely turning their backs on the nickle and diming EA ...
Swore i'd never buy another THQ game given how they have just abandoned Titan Quest ... worrying trend in the industry to milk customers and leave them with a broken game ...
Why would anyone buy another GH game - especially on the XBOX 360 until they sort out what the fook they are doing about DLC ... especially pricing which was the big draw to buy the 360 version over the PS2 version ...
Hard to complain when they are free - but the theme and gamerpics are pretty craptastic ...
Me too - but it seems like a bad move when you consider what will happen when a 360 gets banned ...
Odds on that the person will just put it on ebay and then it becomes someone elses problem ... basically, this move screws up the second hand market as how can anyone trust what they are buying will not be banned?
Rental to test it out first me thinks ...
But why is this required - just use a VGA cable ???
erm ... don't we already have 1080p output on the white consoles via VGA???
I wonder how it escaped their minds that the real fact is that 14 year old kids had actual access to a high powered rifle that resulted in the fire fight ... not fooking games !!!
You would think that he had something to do with the banning directly, rather than just ambulance chasing again ...
I wonder if they are factoring in the cost of repairing/replacing consoles into the projection of when the 360 will become profitable?
Only gonna be interested in this if/when it becomes clear how crippled the online game is if you don't pay the monthly sub, and if the monthly sub is really worth it ...
To be fair - good quality games sell on all formats - it's the amount of mediocre crap that gets churned out that stops people buying. I generally use torrent d/l as an extended demo - as with CoD4, I played the first few levels of SP and then went out and bought a copy so I could play the MP too.
If it wasn't for the ability to d/l a copy to try first I probably wouldn't have bought a copy at all given the small improvements between CoD 1, 2 on the PC and 3 on the 360, I had ...
