Considering the amount of money Nintendo made off the Wii, I think they'll be around for some time to come.
I agree. I wouldn't be surprised if the 3DS broke some records this holiday season.
Considering a lot of developers are saying the dev kits they have are more powerful than PS3/360, then the fact that they are under-clocked would be amazing.
Problems? What problems? They haven't said enough for there to be any problems other than the mentioned lack of Blu-ray/DVD. And how can this be the final nail in the coffin when it's the first thing they've really said?
And they'll want to make a profit. Considering I can buy a Blu-ray for under $50, I don't see how adding one to the Wii U would do anything to help sales. Especially since it would raise the price.
More than likely they will. I'm hoping for Medals or something similar. That seems very Nintendo(y).
I loved the original. I'd like to play this if I ever buy a Wii again. More than likely it will have to wait until the Wii U launch.
Corny, but still pretty funny.
Exactly. Most hardcore people do and casual players don't care anyway.
Would anyone here really want to pay an extra $100 on the Wii U just so they can have a 4th dvd player and a 2nd or 3rd Blu-ray player? This is a smart move. The casual crowd will be more interested because the console is cheaper and the hardcore crowd probably already have both.
If by "next gen" you mean graphics that PC's have had for quite awhile, then yes. If you mean something that's actually new, than the Wii U will be the only true next gen platform. Unless Microsoft or Sony go Nintendo's route with their next consoles, which would make sense since there is a lot of money in innovation.
2013 seems likely for the Next Xbox. The need to build up the hype first and 6 months between E3 2012 and the 2012 holiday season isn't enough time. PS4 will likely be 2014 or later.
Where did you read that? It said it would be similar to Xbox live/PSN. Different, but whether it's better or worse will be everyone's own opinion. It will be better than the Wii, and that's all that matters.
The Wii U really needs more third party exclusives, not just third party ports.
How did this get approved? The article is saying that the 3DS has refined friend codes, not the Wii U. The title is all wrong.
Raiinstorm81- Why is it funny to see Nintendo talk about graphics? Besides the current generation Nintendo has always been the leader in graphics.
... hasn't been announced yet and will also be the same as other systems out now that have equal or worse graphics and systems that lack an awesome controller.
Well, I think the article is a little premature in making such a judgement. Most of the points brought up, like buying four controllers and pricing, are still topics that are in the dark.
"Firstly, it won’t satisfy the hardcore just because we have always been reluctant to go for those outlandish consoles." The real hardcore gamers haven't.
The definition of hardcore gamer should be changed to someone who plays all types of games often and is ...
It's a lot more of a difference than there was between the PS2 and PS3.
All but one of those are temporary. I was referring to actual problems with the system and the only one that is actually a problem with the system (that we know of) is the lack of DVD/Blu-ray. And even that isn't a problem for some. We really just don't know enough at this point. Some might have a problem with that, but I'll be patient and hold out my judgement for later when we have some real facts.
I personally don't have a problem with the lack of Blu-...
