To be fair on Microsoft, I think its too early to be judging Natal. It's not out yet. I also think that the extra lag that maybe experienced online, might just be a lower issue if its games are for casual players.

Not too many casual players would really worry too much about playing certain types of games online. They would rather play these types of games offline whenever there's many family and friends around.

But it will be interesting to see how Microsoft deals ...

This is great news for Sony and Naughty Dog. It's just a shame that many people, articles and journalists were prematurely criticising its sales.

Many people feel that if a game does not sell one million copies on day 1, then its automatically a flop. This couldn't be further from the truth. The 3.5 million are the sales what Naughty Dog expected and now its reached this target. It will finally end up exceeding what they actually expected.

What I say to every gamer ...

I agree pretty much agree with everything you have said. However some of those sites are not as bad as others.

With places like gametrailers they're just consistently inconsistent.

Jim Sterling is pretty much a tool and does not realise that when you single out a group of fanboys as the worst. That just makes you look like one yourself.

Edge say that they place a big emphasis on innovation yet some titles that they have scored highly are not really that...

If most of that trailer is ingame then my goodness me. The PS3 has just raised the bar yet again. I cannot say whether it beats Uncharted 2, but what I can say that it will at least give it a good run for its money.

The animations, motion, fluidity and scale simply took my breath away.

lol, I would not go as far as calling the guy an idiot. However what I would at least say, is that quite clearly the man has more money than sense.

I'm pretty sure that many people have been waiting for this. That's if it turns out to be true. It has been widely reported that the PSP 3000 and PSP:Go have been much tougher to hack.

Should we even be comparing a third person shooter, against a third person action-adventure. I do not think so.

If we're talking about things like a better story and more varied gameplay then Uncharted will more than likely win that argument hands down every time.

If we're talking about graphics then Uncharted will still more than likely win that every time too. Simply because it does not use the Unreal Engine 3. That's why Uncharted will always be a step ahead.

I appreciate people that give credit to classic games. :-)

Superb list, retro gaming at its finest. :-D

Bubbles for you!!!

I agree with all those picks apart from FF13 and MGSR. FF13 because it does not look upto the standard of other games. Artistically maybe, but graphically overall; then no.

MGSR, well we have not seen anything there. So for now I'm going to have to say no. Crysis, Rage and Heavy Rain are naturally obvious choices to compete with GOW3.

For people that are mentioning Alan Wake. Well it does look great, no doubts about that. However it was probably the best of its kind ...

I somewhat agree with their handling with GOW3. I remember when I played GOW2 on the PS2, I had seen several video's before. Therefore when I finally played through GOW2 it did not excite me as much. Therefore I inadvertently spoilt it for myself.

However I still enjoyed every single last bit of it. :-)

Looks like Capcom are backing the wrong horse here. I wonder how much Microsoft must have paid Capcom to go this route. Certainly not the most logical thing to do, given that Monster Hunter's sales come predominantly in Japan.

What Geoff Keighley said on the Bonus Round was my sentiments exactly. I do not think that anybody can deny at least the possibility of it coming towards the PS3 given the circumstances.

I also think that nobody can act like they know the intricate contractual obligations of the Mass Effect IP. I think that a E3 announcement would be the most reasonable assumption. That if it's coming of course. However I could be wrong about all of this, therefore we're just going to have wait a...

I am guessing that the developers had no problem implementing this can simply because all PS3 comes equipped with a hard drive. That's guaranteed.

Perhaps more games should implement this.

Sony touted at the start of this gen how they had full backwards compatibility and even mocked Microsoft for its solution. So I basically feel that they took a step back and went back on their word.

I have to admit that it leaves a bitter taste in my mouth that Sony did this. I also know that many people will say that they do not care BC, however some people do.

I know that I will probably get some disagree's for that opinion. I am in favour of the consumer and not ...

I agree, Aaron Greenburg, Don Mattrick, Peter Moore(ex-Microsoft employee) and John Schappert( now ex employee, however recent Microsoft employee). These guys have all had their fare share of smack talking.

Even some 360 related developers like Cliffy B, Itagaki, Peter Moore, Valve (i.e Gabe Newell) and Turn 10(Do not exactly remember their names) have spoken way too much.

However do not get me wrong I know that people like Ken Kuturagi(Retired), Kaz Hirai and even e...

To be honest I do not think anyone actually needed Vgchartz to confirm what many people should already know if they do the sums.

Put it this way, if there was some much debate about who was leading the HD console sale within Europe. Then what does that tell you.

It tells you that the PS3 was always selling at a faster rate than the 360 because Microsoft released its system 16 months before the PS3.

Most people should have logically come to the conclusion...

This is a great article. The author has backed up his arguments with some strong evidence too.

When people say that all games sell better on the 360 and that PS3 owners do not buy games. They do not consider the facts first and compare on a level playing field.

The attach rate as this article is basically pointing out is the biggest factor to consider when looking at software sales. Not just how much one version has sold over the other.

The PS3 is now set to sell millions in Japan just from FF13 sales alone. Sony will probably think to themselves that FF14 Online and FFvs13 could not come any sooner.

Those two games will only add to the momentum.

If you ask me, the article sounds like its been written by a child. The author obviously did not put much thought into this.

The author acts like both the GTA franchises/Tomb Raider franchises have always been exclusive towards the Playstation brand. That's even despite him mentioning that these games are now available on day of release.

It's also funny that he left out many other important things that certainly worth mentioning.

Also lol at the last par...
