With 3 consoles sitting around collecting dust (though I will play Last of Us) I am in no hurry to drop $500 on a new console, that's for sure. It will take a lot of amazing exclusives to make me buy one of the consoles...
I think the main point was that DRM of some sort may be needed to keep the industry alive, but Microsoft's attempt was too strict to use today. So other options will have to be used to make the transition lighter
It's all so vague still... They talk about how cool it is to spin up servers and all that, but for what? What EXACTLY are they using it for? What EXACTLY are these "niceties" that they will have that won't be on PC?
Basically, the Radeon 8970 already exists, as an system integrator only part. It's a rebranded 7970.
This may be a picture of a real 8970, but that doesn't mean you'll ever be able to buy one, nor does it necessarily contain a Curacao XT core.
AMD has an entire lineup of 8000 series cards, so if they ever do come up with a replacement for the current 7000 series, my guess is that they will skip and go straight to 9000, or maybe use a new numbering...
I agree, and it's weird to think that people with certain conditions will have better graphics than others with the same hardware... I really want to know more about how this works
Unless you play Skyrim a lot, that is...
Good news for AMD at least!
That's what this guide is for.
A LOT of drivers and programs that work perfectly fine don't work in Windows 8. Especially custom and third party drivers like this.
Also the drivers usually need to be online to work, these are an offline version. The drivers site has been down a lot lately, and when it does you can't access the control panel.
Be sure to block the drivers with your firewall to keep it clean and simple :)
The very 560 model used in the review is $185 at Newegg. You might be thinking of the 560 Ti which is around $240. But this is a review of two cards UNDER $200, so the $180 6870 vs the $185 560 standard model.
The point of this article was, if you are going to spend around $180 on a GPU should you get a 6870 or 560. For Witcher 2 the answer is clearly 560 at least :)
I love this testing method, it really does seem more accurate. Check out the Witcher 2 results!
Zoidberg FTW
Oh and enjoy the camel toe ;)
New Lara > Old Lara, IMO
I think the point is, it's not perfect. There is something about EVERYTHING that sucks ;)
To be fair, the point being made was that Sony offers interesting exclusives, not just shooters and racing games. Afrika deserves credit for that!
Exactly lol, most accurate one of all!
And nearly $3K is just absurd!
If you already have a PS4 controller though, it's the best option
Plus some may prefer this to the 360 controller
