This is not a good game, by any metric.
It certainly gives certain magazines a purpose, even if that purpose is to tank the review intentionally for clicks.

I do not accept the premise of your argument. If you don't like them, there's a ton of casual games to play, often as close as your nearest smart device.
Neither Ryse nor The Order were good games. They may have looked good, but they were simply not good games. The Last Guardian however, is a great game that many will unfortunately not even try, let alone have the patience to get Trico to trust them. It was by far the best game to come out of Team Ico. My hat is off to Ueda.

I do not accept the premise of your article. Overload has demonstrated that you have some clear bias issues, and you've made some pretty sweeping generalizations that support that assessment.

You're advocating Microsoft screwing 20 million Xbox One owners, many of whom have Day One Edition consoles. These are the die-hard Xbox fans and early adopters, Microsoft's core fanbase that would be victimized by your suggestion.
Microsoft promised forwards compatibility. If a new generation of consoles starts in only four years, that's a huge middle finger to us.
That's because the Xbox division doesn't make them any money, especially compared to the other divisions. You don't sink additional cost into a stream that doesn't produce revenue.
There's nothing wrong with Phil Spencer. Its not like he's making the games.
