I'm pretty sure people just disagreed with you for the sake of proving you wrong.
The thing is that ps3 might have had a price cut by then.
Hmm... maybe the calculators of the distant future will be able to run crysis 1. Now that would be insanity!
@ NaiNaiNai(troll)
NGP has the same resolution the black ops does on ps3 so stfu rotten troll.
I just hope it releases this year. I want one sooooo bad. It just looks too appealing to pass up on launch.
Wait, does this mean that the entire Sony keynote is focused on NGP!!? They should have a little bit of PS3 stuff, but I would definitely like to know much more about the NGP!! Can't wait!
Wow that's really competitive considering most phones without contract cost $600+!
Except that the kindle isn't nearly as power drawing and sophisticated as other handheld devices. It's not that the Kindle's battery life is revolutionary, it's just that it doesn't use much power in the first place.
This POS article needs to STFU like the rest of the doom and gloom of handhelds.
If they weren't going to call the NGP Playstation something, then they wouldn't have put playstation branding in the first place. The only reason the Xperia Play doesn't have playstation on the actual device is because it is primarily a phone. In fact, it's just a phone with playstation suite and buttons. In gaming, it pales in comparison to the NGP.
Can't wait, the 3DS officially starts the 8th generation of handhelds, then hopefully NGP later in the year! So exciting, new consoles!!!
I don't care about arguing, however it is certain that whichever handheld sells more and gets a higher install base will get more games. It's simple, higher install base = more games. Some of those games may be shovelware, however there's a higher chance for the system to have good games.
@Aarix
I know what you mean, but it's hard to play dedicated without proper controls. I also feel like people only play games on their smartphones for the sake of them being on there. They would've bought the smartphone anyway. The people that play those games only play them because they have nothing better to do on the phone at that moment. They weren't interested in dedicated games platforms in the first place, so they were never really a customer.
Overpriced!!? You can get them right now for $26.99. They're two awesome games, for half the price of a brand new ps3 game, coupled with trophies and hd upscale.
I think the liveArea gui is suited only for touch screens. Xmb is perfect for a home console without a touchscreen. They probably won't have liveArea for ps4, because it wouldn't work as intended.
Apple makes ipods and macbooks, not gaming systems. App Store is for apps and bite sized "minis."
Maybe the new ip that they're developing is cross platform between ps3 and ngp.
I love this song from the menu. It's so epic. I wanna play Killzone right now!
Still a damn good deal for the U.S. This is awesome news, I can't wait to do this tomorrow, then wait in anticipation.
Next time buy the console on release, that way you'll get a price that probably won't be dropped for a while, unless it turns out like the iPhone, lol. Honestly the NGP will be worth it at a max of $400.
