I strongly agree. And the worst thing is this is one of the big videogames websites in France. They didn't even reviewed All 4 One.
The video game industry never spent so much for a Super Bowl ad, the only time it happened was EA for Dante's Inferno two years ago. And considering it didn't affect the sales at all, they didn't make another shot.
Same thing for Sony, last year for their Xperia Play. They banked the money for a spot, the Xperia Play sold bad. So there wasn't any chance to see the Vita at this Super Bowl.
And also, even Activision doesn't do a Super Bowl a...
A kilometer is shorter than a mile, 1 mile = 1.609 kilometer ;)
There's a mistake, 8 km = 5 miles.
64 km² = 25 square miles.
In comparison a typical CoD map is like 200 meters by 200 meters, so its 40,000 m², 0.04 km².
And a Battlefield 3 map is around 1 to 2 km².
The Just Cause 2 map is 1024 km² (32x32 km).
I think BF3 will get over 10 million sales, but this won't take down CoD which will go over 20 million again.
Don't forget MW2 and Black Ops. They cost $20 million to develop, but Activision put $180 million in marketing.
Going to be announced @ E3.
£850k for UK only, that means like $5 million worldwide...
Considering Call of Duty has like $150 million in advertising... Sony still has a long way to go.
As long we still have Kevin Butler on the PS3 ads...
See you 2 days before release.
Meanwhile, EU owners of PS3 still get crappy PS+ gifts...
And we still don't have Spyro games despite they are on the US PS Store since 2007!
They promised us a big E3, we still have nothing from them. And considering they didn't went on stage, or got any early announcement, everything they will do this E3 will be completely unnoticed.
If Resistance 3, or any other game gets announced, it won't pass the 400° bar here.
Where's Bad Company 2 ?
Gears of War was a new IP for 360, and it sold much better than ANY other exclusive on PS3 (new or existing IP).
The top selling exclusive on PS3 is MGS4, it did 4 million. There's 5 exclusives on 360 that have 4 million sales at least... Halo 3, Gears of War 1 & 2, Forza 2, and the recent Halo 3 ODST.
Doesn't make any huge launches?
I talk about EVERY BIG PlayStation exclusive, like Uncharted, inFamous, Ratchet & Clank A Crack in Time, LittleBigPlanet... No one has made a launch of over 200k units on day one. Here's NSMB Wii makes 550k day one, ODST 2M day one...
Does PS3 owners REALLY buy games?
"despite not charting in in October's top 10."
The game was released on October 27, so to enter the top 10 it had to make 156,000 sales in 4 days...
In Eurozone, we pay the games €70, this corresponds to £65 and $103!
WHAT'S WRONG WITH HIM?
The french notation system is more severe than an american one. Games between 15 (7.5) and 17 (8.5) are considered good, and 18 or 19 (9 or 9.5) games are exceptional. Perfect are nearly never given, the only game that recieved that mark (Zelda The Wind Waker) caused a massive debate about the reviewer. Since that, no other game had a 20, since it would cause another massive debate.
Even infinite games like The Sims or World of Warcraft recieved a 20/20. This mark is more or less subjective, but it's much based on the single player part.
The review is just the three paragraphs. No more. To compare, the Max Payne 3 review was 5 times longer.
