Microsoft could have made way more money by putting Starfield on PlayStation, and they still could have put it on Game Pass if they want to grow their subscription. The performance on Steam shows they would be much better off as a multiplatform publisher.
The fact of the matter is, it's the games that are going to suffer from reduced revenue.
I don't think their strategy is going to work out like they hoped.
We'll just keep pretending game development and upkeep is free and that Microsoft is just going to keep taking losses because they love xbox fans so much more than money.
I can only assume you sent it back very early on and perhaps they didn't have loose parts because that is not the case if you have a problem today.
Or if you reported that your controllers didn't connect with the device, then they may have wanted you to send the whole thing to test, which is logical.
But if you have a problem with a broken of damaged controller you should not be asked to send the whole unit back.
I mean the original slim was sold at a loss on the contract that the user would buy digital games from PSN, that is no longer the case. So now they are being sold closer to the cost of manufacturing.
Keep in mind these consoles are all being sold at a loss or break even prices.
