In all honesty I think OPM will give R2 a 9/10.
The game in the end probably will deserve scores like 10/10, but OPM have already given perfect scores to two PS3 exclusives this year.
If they gave Resistance 2 a 10/10, people would probably accuse them of being heavily biased. (Despite giving the first Resistance a mere 7/10)

Resistance: Fall of Man believe it or not received an underrated score of 7/10 from OPM.
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and Ratchet and Clank: TOD both received 9/10s from OPM.
There has only been 2 exclusives to receive 10/10s from OPM: MGS4 and LBP.

I agree it looks way more impressive than R1. The water effects, the textures on enemies and the way how everything is crystal clear is very impressive.
I honestly can't imagine what this game would have been like if it was made with the Unreal engine 3. Would most likely have had bad frame-rate, graphics that look like rusted metal, and lots of enemies on screen running around the place like retards.

At the final stage of Heavenly Sword (A PS3 exclusive released last year) you had to fight over 1000 enemies on screen. And unlike Gears 2 you where able to fight them all.
