You obviously dont know what im talking about at all. They blamed the hacks on the Ps3 when it's their job to add additional security if they want to themselves. Besides the ps3 hack wasn't there cod hacks already? And CoD? the biggest PS3 game? haha uh no. sorry unlike the 360 ps3's user base is actually quite spread out in the world meaning its users dont play just 1 game. Unless you have proof that CoD is played more than any other game on the ps3 you made that up.
iPhone jailbreak was allowed due to the fact that it allowed users to use other carriers - that was basically the winning argument because i believe they couldnt show piracy. With this though, Sony can already show examples of piracy and security breach as well as fraud, this key basically tells systems that it is "Sony" and to give it access - access granted. Just to remind and clear people - jailbreaking is only allowed for SMARTPHONES, yes jailbreaking is not legal for all devices, the previous ruling only said it's allowed for smartphones because it was relating to unlocking it. However in this case Sony can easily prove the hack is leading and allowing piracy people are already doing it.

Ya know people were allowed to "mod" pS3's with their own OS and whatnot...how do you think ps3 supercomputers were made? You mod the Ps3's together. Sony only took it away with dumbass hackers starting poking around the SECURITY of the actual PS3 that would enable piracy. When they say their against piracy that's totall bull**** all of this leads to and is for piracy. You had the other OS feature with all of Ps3's power behind it but you had to be greedy assholes...
i think it will end up depending on what happens. If piracy becomes rampant for video games especially big titles i see them banning everybody and anybody with a hack. However, more realistically, the big titles wont get hurt at all 20-25 GB downloads take a long time, many people actually have bandwith and DL caps on their service and while Blu-Ray GAMES aren't region locked the movies are which means (unless im wrong please correct me) it's possible a blu-ray from say china wont w...

Sony was showing off a 56inch LED/LCD and a 24.5 inch OLED (holy crap) 3D Glass Free prototypes. While Toshiba and Sharp were working on it sooner tbh Sony and well i guess Samsung will have better quality ones. I personally hate Samsung for their rediculously glossy screens.

the funny thing is that everybody i talk to that has a 360 already has or wants to buy a ps3 now. LOL. Mostly for the games but it seems people are getting sick of paying for XBL when PSN is doing the same stuff (more or less)
ive realized, this is only big news because hackers couldnt hack the ps3 until what 3-4 years after it came out? talk about epic fail hackers. GJ to bad piracy is useless on the ps3 the WORLD isn't ready to download 20-50 GB games much less actually keep them all stores. And yes if you're gunna pirate games you're gunna pirate the big awesome AAA games that are...all more or less 50 GB
