that's not what he's even talking about, what you're referencing is just marketing a piece of hardware, A Corvette is more powerful than an Audi, it doesn't make it better.
but power is it's selling point.

the mentality he's talking about is the Fanboy mentality of bashing and it's absolutely a hundred percent accurate.
I play on Xbox but I don't bash a game or praise a game, because it's on a console.

I've gotten into arguments with some Nintendites about it being really no more powerful than anything from the PS3/ 360 era, and get a ton of crap arguments over it, but to me this sort of consolidates that.
it doesn't matter if your system is just slightly more powerful (really) then the last generation( before the current generation which is about to end of course) if its capabilities don't have parity. it runs unreal 3 natively?!
and all of these rumors talkin...

new Fable and the new splinter cell are the games I'm pretty much clamouring the most for.
I agree with the art style.
I think they will modernize it a bit, I kind of hope they do and make it look less "cartoony" I'd really like the world to look vibrant, very deep and very clear,
but I don't think they should step too far away from the basic artistic interpretation,
of how the game has always looked.

and things change,
Peter molyneux left to do his own thing, that withstanding, at some point when it studio is given freedom, if they don't have any ideas or the ideas they continually come up with are poor ones, that aren't producing anything positive? yeah, the studio gets shuttered.

absolutely.
this is come up before.
there are too many games that just add so much padding and filler,
either it's ridiculous collectathons, repetitive fetch quests that seem to go on endlessly, or god-awful amounts of unnecessary/rote/ character management.
for me the simple answer is:
only the crappy ones.
no one thinks The Witcher/ Kotor /Mass effect games/ are too long, because they're well done.

funny I posted almost the same thing,

glad to see somebody else sees it in a rational way.

no it's not the fault of the idiots that decided to use it for the symbol of a noose, and make it part of their cause.

I love how it's never the fault of the f**kheads that initiate this to begin with, it's always because a major company has to comply with pressure from all sorts of directions.

Fanboys are going to be fanboys on either side, I still think it's a great idea to keep a community thriving for much longer than it would normally and with a new generation of games coming up I think we'll see it use a lot more.
sony can be hesitant, to change at times, but I don't think they were any more hesitant then say Microsoft would have been, if the situation were reversed, I think it's really what your community wants, they allow it and it's not used it ...
