Exactly what you're saying. This is something that can be looked over but hopefully it'll be patched. 40 seconds is a lot of time to just wait and look at the screen
Criticism =/= complaining
If this won't be fixed in the day 1 patch, it will frustrate a lot of people. 40 seconds is a *huge* amount of time to just wait and do nothing. Too long to be acceptable, not long enough to get coffee to stay up all night playing the game

Maybe you just haven't played on PC. Choosing the parts requires a few hours of reading, building a PC requires double that. Installing everything after that is also a chore but overall, it isn't rocket science.
And I think it's just fair to compare it to the PS version. I just don't think it's fair to do it over Youtube where both versions will look a LOT worse than what...
I'm not even a fan of racing games. When we finally get Driveclub PS+, I'll probably not even download it. Still, Sony promised something and didn't give it. They also promised 20+ apps by the end of last spring. A year ago.
I love my PS4, especially now that Bloodborne is coming up but we can't just let Sony just get away with outright lying to us like that. That leads to more false promises
The link for the promised 20+ apps:

The Witcher 3 on current gen consoles is graphically lower than PCs lowest settings. I'd say that's proof enough this game will be and has been PC first from the beginning
So... A fairly average current gen title. Though I wouldn't say 4chan is much of a source. Hopefully there'll be no silly day 1 patches or anything like that so I can play the minute it launches
The damn thing isn't out yet. Bad troll. 1/5.
"PC: Shadow of Mordor

* Install latest gpu drivers(for almost exactly this only game)
* Install the game all its freaking agreements
* Install patches
* Change your video settings(until you find a good performance one)<--You will be here for a while trust me ;)
* Hope for no bugs/crashes to appear
* Finally play your damn game

I'm a PC guy all the way. But your comment is just full of trollish nonsense.
PC gaming has higher startup cost. Even higher if you live outside of US and if you don't want to build one, which the majority (see: the mass market) doesn't want to do. PC just has cheaper games. But if you have the money, I see no reason not to get a PC.
We should really be able to create our own like on PS3... Right now the EU PS Store has like 12 themes, 2 of them being behind PS+ and 2 costing actual money. More than a year into the life cycle of the concole and we have barely 10 themes!
Then again I suppose getting the suspend/resume feature in there is the top priority. Or folders for UI. Or DLNA support.
The thing that I want the most is the 20+ apps promised to us before spring 2014 though. The lack of...
I suppose PC mods is the closest you'll get. But that's just a mod and wouldn't match the quality of an actual, official multiplayer/co-op mode since it's not professionally done.
But they did say that multiplayer *might* come in an update.

So there's at least some hope. Yay!
Steam has the problem where people post the same jokes as reviews. The "funny review" category that was recently added makes it even worse. Not only that but people mark them as "helpful" so they are the first reviews you'll see when going to the review section.
With DLC
Great that some people have the discipline. I'm pretty disappointed in GTA V current gen to be honest. Still broken matchmaking, bad framerates, low FOV even with the setting turned up. The game is great but wouldn't have been worth another 60€ for me.
I would've given it a higher score but I completely agree with the author's criticism and I see why he gave it "only" a 6. Even so, 6 is still "better than average". Some people here make it out to be the absolute worst score that a game can get and Polygon being the source of all evil. Even though the score was so low and they gave proper reasoning for it.
I can't remember what outlet it was but I wish more reviewers would ditch the scoring an...
Yup. Just badly optimized but other than that I think the game is decent. Not a masterpiece but it's a lot of fun with a few friends
I don't know. Because I can I suppose and while I have my own usernames I'm happy with on both XBL and PSN, I just don't want to settle for one in Steam for some reason. And like I said, I think it's a fun thing to come up with new stuff. Also I'm such a dirty hipster that I think it's cool because I'm the only one doing it, haha.
It has also became a fun little inside joke between friends, don't want to stop the little "tradition". I...
This... Actually looks really good. I'm surprised.
And if it's a f2p MMO... Well, MMO's are being patched with new content usually later on in the game's life, right? Well, if the transactions would be skins only or not offer a huge advantage and the game would get new content over time... Then I could forgive the game being f2p. This game actually has the potential to be great.
Now we'll just wait for the western release.
Games should be released complete. I can live with online being behind a day one patch. It doesn't hurt anyone. People able to play multiplayer obviously have a decent internet connection so they can easily download the patch. It's nothing but a small annoyance.
But people without internet connection shouldn't have to wait 40 seconds on loading screens and should have Chalice dungeons - A feature that has been advertised so much. The fact that it's missing fro...
