Isn't rashid Mr x media?
Ff7 wasn't turn based though
Is used the ATB system and if you didn't select commands the enemy would still attack you over and over.
This system looks exactly the same.
Command box, check.
Command of every character, check. (hopefully no AI though I don't want to have to change between characters manually to comment them all every battle)
Enemies acting even if you don't act, check.
...
Final Fantasy 7 was NEVER turn based. It used a system called active time battle and if you didn't act the enemy wouldn't wait for you to attack.
This system looks mostly the same, with an atb gauge to tell you when you can attack and the ability to switch between characters and choose options from menus. It's just much more refined.
This is exciting since it looks like it doesn't suffer from simple button bashing gameplay and it maintains fu...
There are plenty on young people with families obligations etc, sadly many of them still in high school.
A person's free time doesn't matter to these companies, their likelihood of purchase does.
The recent final fantasies with their almost on rails gameplay with watered down non strategic action combat have failed to sell well.
It's a mistake of square to believe slapping ff7 on such a product will stop it being terrible.
That will be the goal for sure, but when sales come in lower than expected if the old fans don't like the new system then square shot themselves in the foot.
If in fact old fans outnumber new fans that is.
When you market a remake of a classic and beloved title you are counting on nostalgia to make sales, they will be the bulk of them as opposed to 'new' gamers.
That's why you don't change things as ingrained as a combat system, because you are counting on the nostalgia you could potentially be hampering and as such hurt your sales overall
I guess a new suikoden will never happen.... fuck konami, use your staff properly or let them go. Sell ip's your never gonna use
People who do studies like this subscribe the the deluth(sp?) Model of domestic violence.
I know it sounds irrelevant but...
The model suggests that men abuse women in order to exert control, power and dominance casting males as the aggressor and females as ever the victims.
Short answer would be no, females don't need to lash out because they feel inferior according to these social studies types.
The field of vision is so small though, I can see how people will think it will flip unless that issue is resolved.
Here is to hoping
I know right? Almost as if someone is trying to stir up controversy or something
The character was bisexual to begin with and can totally end up in relationships with a women depending on the choices of the player.
I also seriously doubt she is the only character interested in same sex relations.
You understand that in storytelling (a major part of video games) it's standard practice to tackle the ideas of right and wrong, how people identify themselves and how society pressures people to think right?
This isn't done to influence the players morality or even to point something out as wrong but simply to get the player thinking about that topic.
Is it wrong of a character to slip something into another character to alter the others perceptions ...
The company and the talent are different things. The talent left as soon as Microsoft bought them. Rare can't evolve from what it was since it hasn't been what it was since it got taken over.
What it needs to do is divorce itself from the past and define itself as something new, chasing that old rare magic is a fools errand and will never work.
Office 2010 is currently still available yes but likely won't be supported foerver. Microsoft are moving towards subscription models just because they are not there 100% yet doesn't alter my point.
Nice try at a strawman, I approach this as I do most other topics, as a consumer not a fanboy. Sincerely hope you can say the same.
Microsoft seem to be wanting to turn everything of theirs into subscription services. Windows, office, maybe xbox as a brand... I can't say I am a fan of this model. I prefer to own my software rather than rent it.
Not sure how materia will work without turn based... many of them added attacks per turn and the summons would be awkward without it to.
Not to mention controlling other party members with varying materia loadouts without turn based. If it was like ff15s battle system there better be one he'll of an AI to understand what you have planed with the materia you gave each character.
Limit breaks would be a pain to.
You lose so much without tu...
I'm not shooting it down or writing it of merely remaining skeptic. We will see when it releases and like I said, if the field of vision is a problem it will not effect the games mentioned much at all.
Being defensive doesn't make my point any less legitimate
Apparently the field of vision is rather small, if they can't fix that issue I'm not so sure it will impact those games a whole bunch.
'A portion' could vary from anywhere in between a small percentage to a big one. It's much to ambiguous to apploud.
I hate micro transactions in any form, especially those that can turn a game into pay to win.
My take on it is this. I don't care if characters in games are big, trans, gay, female, brown or drow, but I do see why this is offensive.
It does feel like the trans character is used as a spectacle in game, forced and stereotypical with no reverence for in game lore.
Imagine if they had handled it thusly :-
The trans character currently "male" approaches the group for help finding the belt of gender swapping (it exists in game...
