I'm really looking forward to this. I didn't get the chance to play DS2 due to the release date and having already traded my ps3 toward a ps4. I'm going to be set for quite awhile with the DS2 remaster and Bloodborne.
I'm a bit apprehensive about DS2 though, I'm hoping the complaints I've read have been exaggerated and the game is a worthwhile play through.
If its true that MS is blocking South African IP's from match making due to speed concerns, that practically all but removes multiplayer. Considering that, for numerous people, multiplayer was the driving factor for purchasing the game, seems MS should be offering some type of compensation.
Kudos to you South African gamers who held on this long. I bought the game at release here in the US and sold 4 weeks later due to the multiplayer issues.
The modern day aspect of the game is what I dislike the most. Any interest I have in AC games is due to historical aspects, not running around a modern day office building in Canada. I never understood why they needed the whole animus thing for the story, it honestly just ruins any immersion.
I don't know that Microsoft needed to do anything to kill off steam machines. Was the market for steam machines ever really a thing?
The performance capabilities, upgradability, customization/modding etc. of PC's/PC games is just as much the focus as playing the game itself. What I mean by that is, the PC gaming crowd typically isn't comprised of those who "just want to load the game and have it work." Steam machines seem to be lacking in this regard. ...
So basically your point is that every reviewer is trolling this game and/or lacks the faculties required to appreciate its sheer awesomeness.
As someone who just turned 30, I can relate. Up until my early 20's, I'd play a game just for the sake of trying it out but, now I wont play a game unless I'm really interested in it.
Nevertheless, it could be the greatest game bestowed upon mankind but,if a week or two goes by where I'm unable to play, my interest drops off and its almost guaranteed I wont play it again.
For someone purporting higher intelligence by way of painting Americans as being indoctrinated borgs rife with irrational thought, its fitting that the only point you managed to make was by utilization of a poor argumentative fallacy.
@Halo-
Whether you acknowledge it or not, censorship is a tool/method of oppression. Censorship occurs whenever some people succeed in imposing their personal political or moral values on others.
Cant agree enough about the complexity aspect. The whole dumbing down of stat selection,class system removal, and other rpg elements has really taken away from the game for me personally.
We've had quite a few MK's with guest characters now.
Am I the only one that wishes they would make at least one installment comprised purely of characters originating from the MK universe?
lol what a disaster
@Foxtrot-
I agree. The buster sword was neat, but was still just a "starter" sword as it was done away with after the initial part of VII. The gunblade maintained its presence in various forms throughout the entire play through of VIII
I know what the point/idea/goals of a beta is, I've participated in quite a few.
My comment was directed more so toward the overall issues people have experienced with the online component of games this gen (including accessing beta's)and not specifically toward 343.
How did this article get approved? The incoherence of the summary paragraph is atrocious.
Please, please, pleeease get it right this time...
@Pixelsword- I know its fun to play lawyer on the internet for what reason I don't know. The problem is that actual attorneys who are also gamers do exist(hi), and they'll feel more than a bit inclined to point out your BS just on principle.

Super expensive? My daily worn Breitling literally cost me 10x that. $500 is the bottom of the bargain bin for watches.
This is great news, I'm glad they decided to finally listen to the fans of the series. I only wish it would have been localized BEFORE I ditched my ps3 for the ps4...*sigh*
I've had issues with this game since launch, the deal breaker being the multiplayer issues. I'm a pretty patient guy but, considering my schedule allows for maybe 2hrs of gaming every other day, I don't have all the time in the world to wait for the game to place me in a match.
I was really excited for this release, but it's turning out to be a huge let down for me.
Nothing is a waste of time if enjoyment is derived from it.
An activity generally considered productive doesn't make it a worthwhile pursuit by virtue of the activity itself.
Striving to discover the cure for an incurable ailment is considered time well spent by most. My personal attempt at discovering such a cure would be, not only laughable but, a monumental waste of time and resources. My intellectual strong points are, at best, the antithesis of wha...
