I think I'm for the most part done with gaming, we don't unite and fight back which is as simple as not buying from companies who treat us like crap, you don't have to argue with shills online or goofballs who claim something is free without any logic in their post just use your wallet.

This is not what was expected, this is basically a baby step towards culling an outraged audience until they completely give up on caring so they can bring back the same old system at a later point.

it's like they wake up and think "how can we fix this without actually fixing it"

better yet this reddit comment puts it much better than me

I agree with what you say the only difference is I think the slope broke .. .they kept pushing and from the looks of UFC 3 they don't seem to be able to control their greed and the excuse that "well they need to make money" should never overstep the initial goal which is they need to satisfy customers, everything stops if customers get upset and have had enough(the recent removal of mts in battlefront 2 makes that apparent) We can hurt them sure they have shareholders but those ...

nah I said I wish the esrb would regulate but they don't even want to consider it and given who've they had as previous members I can't take them serious maybe we should have never taken them serious from the jump.

I love gaming I just wish publishers loved it as much as us but isn't it poetic the people who fought the media for years when they tried to link violence to video games are the same ones handing them the ammo they needed all this time and the publishers with their greed created the perfect catalyst.

YASSSSS REGULATE IT HONEY

On a serious note it'd be nice if the esrb stopped acting like a puppet of publishers and do it's job but they seem to want to allow the monster to fester so let's introduce some politics to gaming so we can all share the pain.

Regardless though it's better for children to not play these type of games as it can be addictive to younger more naive minds, it needs regulation.

Welp guys as you can see below me Opinionated has spoken, using his top level logic and factually based response he has put me into a situation I cannot counter, he had me at "You're wrong" and his effortless use of trading cards being able to be used towards "cashing out" has stumped me totally, I especially like his ending where he calls me an a*hole and props himself up by saying we're harming the children, truly a class act this guy.

Whew th...

That's the thing though they want to act as if single player gaming is dead and move to all online based gaming while keeping a full price fee and having the game so riddled with micro-transactions and loot boxes you can't progress without them unless you have no life outside of gaming.

hell they already have deluxe editions of games so people are paying premium+ prices it's just they want it to be endless and their willing to break immersion and ruin game play ...

I say this in every article now EA NEEDS TO DIE if this publisher was to crash because of their disgusting tactics it would send a message to other publishers, we need a full on boycott they aren't going to change unless we keep on pushing we literally have to break them otherwise they'll keep spewing lies like "consumers just don't want linear experiences anymore" but apparently we want lootboxes even though we've been shouting nonstop "STOP THE LOOTBOXES"...

Gambling is the wagering of money or something of value (referred to as "the stakes") on an event with an uncertain outcome with the primary intent of winning money or material goods. ... In other forms, gambling can be conducted with materials which have a value, but are not real money.

you just figured it out " just want to have more than the next guy: that urge to one up the next guy is very strong and it leads you down a scary path . . .if i know I can pay just 10 dollars and make you my pet why wouldn't I do it? . . what if i need 100$,200$,500$ to make it so anytime i meet you or others like you on this game it won't be a problem . . until someone beats me at which point i'll have to invest even more to beat them, it's a sad endless cycle.

everything you listed I can buy whatever card I want lmao . . it isn't nearly as random as loot boxes I can literally buy any one card I want . . .

with a loot box I have to hope I get what i want and if not I have to keep trying over and over

people are actually praising them for adding stuff that should have been in the game when it launched, we didn't give them half the money so why do we get an unfinished product still adding and fleshing out details and adding game play mechanics? I have to applaud and congratulate a company for finishing a product when I paid full price for it nearly a year ago, no thanks.

At best you can say "well about time" they deserve no reward for finishing an unfinished...

Lmao they still have the nerve to make statements like "because players felt the star cards were pay 2 win" . . .EA has to be the most disrespectful company in gaming regarding it's audience. We didn't feel like anything we tried the product and we experienced the pay 2 win mechanics in the system.
