This was basically my motivation and I would happily do it again!
Thanks very much for the contest! Good luck to everyone, it's an awesome prize :D
I've fancied playing Diablo 3 for quite a while now but the retail price for the 360 version just doesn't seem to drop. Wonder why that is? :(
It's even worse in games like The Simpsons and Deadpool where they reward you for starting up the game and well... doing nothing!
On the rare occasion that I REALLY enjoy a game, I will go out of my way, not to hunt for achievements, but to explore and unlock every part of the game though multiple plays.
That does in turn usually mean most if not all achievements will be unlocked but it's certainly not an incentive to do so. An incentive for me to play a harder difficulty would be to so I can improve my skill with the game in question or unlock bonus content.
I like the idea of turning off achievements but not all notifications like friends inviting you to play other games etc. Unfortunately with Xbox 360 it's all or nothing, not sure what Xbox One is like.
All I know is it's 2014. There will be a Kickstarter campaign in March, so I guess it depends on how well that goes.
Have to say the Gran Turismo 6 release really snuck up on me. Not sure if releasing such a big game that's exclusive to PS3 around the launch of the PS4 will pay off though!
Personally I would go for BF4, on PS4 with more players and an overall upgraded experience there is no way COD could stand up to that. Killzone on the other hand I have never played.
And not just for the new consoles. There's plenty for everyone!
Can't wait for GTA V and ArmA III, what's everyone else looking forward to?
Now there's a game I missed. Thanks for the tip, will add it to the list in a few minutes.
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn has to be the pick of the month for me. Hours and hours of gameplay of what will undoubtedly be a beautiful looking game.
It certainly looks different and interesting compared to the current crop of releases.
Hey, at least it releases near the end of the week. Plenty of time to play that way. Nothing worse than a game releasing on a monday and having no free time for it!
And I don't doubt that many other people who have already played the ANNO and Settlers games feel the same as you. Ubi/BB are pushing the games out to people who haven't played these games before and giving them a entry point from which they might move onto the full releases, which hopefully there will be more of.
wubba!
It's pretty shameless the way they have used this to set everything up for DS4.
And one of mine too. Sank hours into this back when it was first released and I plan to sink hours more come the HD release. I just have to wonder if any of the old cheats will still work... HOW DO YOU TURN THIS ON?
Tom's Hardware was actually one of the forums I linked to in regards to a good build guide.
