I mean...does it matter *where* your studios are based? If it does, what does it matter? I mean Sony's got solid AAA titles coming that's for sure, but this seems like a true and irrelevant thing being positioned as true and important.
You obviously aren't familiar with the video game machine that is Chris Carter
I'll say this- as a Wii U owner, Spring 2018 has been really dry for my Switch. Looking forward to the Summer announcements though
I feel like this would've been a completely different story had the game launched at $30.
That's about it for Microsoft then. They really needed this to drum up some positive news coverage. What else is coming out for them this year?
A lot of y'all must not have played Captain Toad to be trashing it so much- hence why a port is warranted
"Not a bad game by any means"
"4.5/10"
-_-
Skipping menu dialogue is really a godsend- now only if you could skip through more of the blade resonance.
Also, yeah, handheld mode is passable but still pretty bad.
If you can't grasp a game's mechanics well, and someone else can, then the game's not for you and you shouldn't review it.
Y'all are really tripping acting like these aren't decent numbers. Compare the number of consoles on the market for PS4 when DOOM released there vs the number of Switches out there right now. Look at the attach rate. There were *40 million* PS4s out there when DOOM came out. Compared to what, 10 or 12 million Switches? And the game's over a year old!
Great, time for Sony to half-ass a hybrid console just like they did motion controls
Perfect. Every game should be multiplatform with these options (or even 720p@60 for Switch)
Talk to me about #s though, then I'll start listening
BOY IF YOU DON'T
Never been a problem or concern for me either. That said, sure, they should probably do something about it.
Mario Odyssey and Breath of the Wild will likely be two of the most critically acclaimed games *ever*. To have both of them as exclusives in its first holiday season...
If critics/games journalists affect sales at all then it's a no-brainer, Nintendo cleans house this season.
Confirmed bitter Switch-port crier here. Bitter af rn.
That said, I'm sure Switch will get either a port or a stand-alone entry eventually. Maybe even 5.
The worst thing is shit's not even clever. Like, even if you hate the dude or think he takes himself too seriously or whatever...what does bringing someone's dead mom into it do?
Hopefully for them enough people hate Ye to make up for the folks they lost on this one...
This is a huge deal for a simple reason- if this port's of acceptable quality, then it's proof of concept that pretty much any average AAA game could get ported by the right studio. That blows things wide open for the Switch.
I'd be really surprised if Monster Hunter World didn't win a decent number of awards this year. It's just been very competitive, and will only continue to be so as we move into Fall.
