core game + 15 expansions worth of content for $2.50 might have something to do with it.
you're joking....
So many other titles gathering dust on my shelf.. makes me wonder why I even bought them hehe. Now, excuse me while I go set a mutant midget shotgunner on fire.
Not surprised... they're probably "burned out" hehe...
Seriously though, the amount they did release is crazy, so I'm thankful for that much atleast.
longetivity into the mix, then EQ2, EQ, City of Heroes are all doing rather well. Not the behemoth juggernaut that is WoW.. but holding their own pretty steadily.
We're still alive and kicking over here :)
Steam, I think, has it on sale right now for like.. $4.99. If possible, jump on it now. Game was totally worth the price of $20 when it came out. Passing it up at 5 bucks is just criminal :)
N4G brings attention to the article to those that may have not seen it, thereby assisting in the spoiling.
way.to.go
Has to pay his lawyers somehow right? might as well be ad banners :)
PS3 version. Public lobby would populate, then lock. Couldnt scroll or select games. Refreshed once, locked the entire system. Had to do a physical shutdown and reboot.
Irritated? sure. Still enjoying blowing midget psychos away though, Im sure we'll see a patch soon enough.
And to those crying about not testing properly and the devs not doing their jobs.. there are things that just dont happen in the test environment of a couple dozen people, that DO manifest on...
Yay?
Now what.. make opposing faction characters and do it again to top off the first 30 days?

"rock band games are a joke. they are too easy, and don't have the technical skill difficulty you get in GH. Guitar hero will always be a better series because RB is a childs game and GH is instrument simulation"
GH is instrument simulation...really? I take it single-string, 5 fret guitars are all the rage these days.
So many changes, that for years they swore couldnt be done.. or wouldnt be seen in this version of the game. Enter Champions Online, with user customized power colors and emanation points on the character.
Now all of the sudden NCSoft can do the same exact thing... Fear of the competition is a powerful motivator heheee

system requirements. Tell me if you think that is what he considers "Not very processor intensive"
the author means "developed it from the ground up, and maintained it up until turning it over to NCSoft" right? :)
Amusing word play aside, The game is everything I loved about CoH/V and more. Had enough faith in them to drop the cash on a lifetime sub, and I know I'll be getting my money's worth from it :)
and I stuck around with that one for about 3 of the 4 years it's been running... thats a couple hundred right there. Spent an equal amount of on and off time with EQ2 (current run is goin on 9 months now)
I'm still on the fence with this one..Can I see it surviving the first year? sure.. can I see myself playing it for atleast 11 months beyond the free period? quite possibly. After that... well then it doesnt matter how long it lasts.. it's free time by then.
How he goes from bashing modern video games to embracing and creating one.

So much for Jack Emmerts' claim of utterly "despising" microtransactions, then he lets it get put right into the game he so passionately loves.
Always the archetypical "tank" first and foremost, followed up by high-DPS melee. Love being in the thick of in-your-face combat rather than ranged DPS. Shadowknights, paladins, dreadknights, scouts, rogues, assassins.. call em what you will.
Article states that these are not actual gameplay, just static placement of the art assets. However, it looks like it's coming along great regardless.
