Never played 3 or 4 but I read they weren't the same. As for 1 I guess the character played the "path of the hero" so well, no other title could keep it up with. 2 had to have another instance with Frank. And that's what I loved about the first: Frank was a good for nothing and still was the hero. He was not funny, he was not the hero everybody wanted. He was just there "for a good story". Absolutely agree with you 100%. 1 was A MASTERPIECE even though it had several things that were not that good. But still a very solid title. And the ending was EPIC.
How come you can write a song about domestic violence, killings or even shootings but you cant depict that on a videogame? Arent form of arta kind of neutral when it comes to those topics? Don't waste your time. The last one is an open world game that will distract you from the main story. It will distract you so much that you won't be able to understand why or what is going on. The acting is horrible. The story itself is horrible. Starts very nicely but soon dicthes in a russian winter-like scenario that lasts forever.

I honestly don't agree at all with this article. I think the art of this game is top notch even after 20 years. I also think that the game is one of the most memorable games ever. Most of us at that time were in our early 10s or 20s and that game was fantastic. It was about motorcycles and rebels trying to clean up their name. Something that was cool at that time. And it was quite hilarious as well.
