The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who have not got it.

No, it looks shitty. Dark Souls 1 with dsfix applied looked better, both in the lighting and texture department and that's a game from 4 years ago.

Don't believe me? Check out the YouTube links below and see for yourself. The graphics haven't progressed, they've actually regressed. What's fantastic about that? Do explain.

I don't own a console, I've played both games on the PC at 1080p60. I didn't say that I don't think going from 720p/barely 30fps to 1080p/60 and upgraded visuals does not improve on the experience. That's completely beside the point.

What I said was that the game does not look "stunning" by any standards and whether the graphics in the game are good (not to mention stunning) or not is not a matter of your opinion. It's something we can rate o...

The only thing stunning here is the fact that some people will still discuss the graphics in this game in the context of how good they are.

If you honestly consider this game to be better than average looking, I'd wager you're not so much stunned as stunted. And I don't mean to flame, but let's be realistic here. Even if you disregard all other games in existence, Bloodborne, using the same engine, clearly looks better.

And then there's to...

No, it's not, actually. 32-bit operating system are limited to 4GBs of memory in total. That means that the most RAM that's going to be available on your system is in the range of ~3GB, as the rest is going to be taken up by VRAM.

You're basically wasting your PC's potential by sticking with a 32-bit Windows at this point.

No one would care if it wasn't for "professional gaming journalists" and the shitstorm that they've created surrounding this meaningless, uninspired title. Worthless, corrupt, totally out of control - gaming media in a nutshell. Everything that's in the game has been done before at some point, so why single out this game? The more press it gets, whether good or bad, the more interest it generates. The only way to hurt the game would be not to cover it at all. But yeah. I...

"based on what they think is best for their business (using customer feedback to help with the decision)"

So they've decided to remove a game with over 90% positive votes (cast by their actual customers), while they kept games like Grass Simulator... Okay.

No. They've removed it because of the insane, totally unfair media backlash against the game. There's nothing in the game that hasn't been done before. I don't get why everyone...

Well, I'd say someone would then need to take a look at the headline and-- *takes off his 8bit shades* write some wrongs.

How does a 10 year old get the idea that a certain company has a history of "ruining things"? Maybe she reads a lot of gaming history or maybe somebody (her gamer daddy) put ideas in her head and then made the letter available on the interweb. I'd opt for the latter.

I'm sure she's also been instructed to use Chrome but to never, EVER, under any circumstances use IE, because Google=good and M$=bad.

Halo? You mean the mediocre game that became popular solely because it was the first and only XBOX FPS at the time?

3569d ago 0 agree3 disagreeView comment

The original Magicka was barely playable in coop with only two people due to lag. The game used up stupid amounts of bandwidth and choked up most consumer-level connection.

It's pretty much the same case with Wizard Wars, unfortunately. The game is unplayable due to terrible lag; everyone's just sliding and teleporting around the map like crazy. I'm not holding my breath for a fix considering they've never managed to fix the original game's MP mode despite...

He did show the differences in weapon degradation rate at 30 and 60fps and it didn't look exactly the same to me. Fanboi much?

No, aside from beta, it's always been that. PunkBuster's been around since 2000. The first game to include it (RTCW) came out less than a year after that. I know, because I played that game. Lie more?

3631d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

How exactly do you "use" PunkBuster? What is there to "use"? It's an application that is:
a) installed automatically by games that require it;
b) kept updated automatically;
c) started automatically by the system (or the application that requires it depending on whether you fiddle with the settings);
You couldn't make it any simpler. What is there to "use" and get sick of?

I'd urge the author to do a little more research before attempting to write another one of these "things". He sounds exactly like my 80 year old grandma warning me about the latest computer virus she heard about on the radio.

"a blatant pattern of bot players (...) running a trainer to grab gold" And it's a nefarious HACKER doing all that! Well, shit, now I know it's serious.

I can run AutoIt scripts. Hell, I can even write the...

This article has got to be the biggest load of shit I've waded through in years. It seems that now we not only have Faux News telling the public that people can't tell the difference between video game violence and reality -- gamers themselves are joining in the fun as well.

So it's OK to go on a killing spree, murder every single survivor, loot their still warm corpse, but rape is somehow wrong. Even though this "rape" is just a bunch of character model...

I'm surprised. I didn't expect someone capable of spewing such pseudo-philosophical gibberish to stomach the show or the game.

You seem new to these Southpark and gaming things, so let me clear it up for you. The reason they all call you the New Kid or Douchebag is because a) there's tons of spoken dialogue and b) no way at our current technology level to do a decent text-to-speech for all the characters in the game. It's done exactly in the spirit of the show...

Thank you, sweet jeebus. First Ecco: The Reluctant Dolphin, then the Goat Simulator and now this. All my dreams are about to come true.

Exactly. What can be said about it is that it looks sharp, blocky and lifeless. Not in the least bit impressive. Reminds of all the hi-res texture mods that make game worlds look like they were covered in anal lube. But hey, some people like that... Go figure.
