Well, between the two of them, Microsoft clearly is the one with the superior cloud infrastructure.
Based on the wording of the invites, it doesn't look like this will be PvZ : Garden Warfare 3.
I think the 80s are psychologically associated with the rise of video games, the personal computer, nerd culture, dungeons and dragons and more. People hold these things close to heart and value them, as these things helped shape their self-identity. That's why (idealized) 80s imagery and aesthetics in general invoke strong feelings of nostlagia. It's true even of those born after the 1980s. (Myself included)
Doesn't seem like it from a glance. "We've had more than 4,000 companies apply for access to Stadia". That's what he said. 'Companies', not 'employees'.
For once, I agree with the tech corporations running against something. These tarrifs will affect us all and quite dramatically. Government intervening in the free market always leads to various kinds of disasters, it's about time we learn.
That's very nice. Nintendo is generally great w/ creating input devices that allow for more varied possibilities.
The only real things I'm afraid of when it comes to game streaming are not the (temporary) technical problems, but the censorship, blacklisting and using it as a political leverage tool (by denying access to games to certain people). And besides, it's Google that's doing it. So it makes those outcomes not particularly improbable, I'm afraid.
I feel like the story and visuals might be the real standout in this game. But, it seems like the actual combat will probably be simplistic and there'll be QTE sequences. (based on game journalists' observations from the BTS demos at E3)
Well, I fully understand why it seems to you that non-violent, non-governmental solutions are ineffective and ultimately self-defeating. I'm not doubting anyone's intentions here.
Although, I think if we don't give in to our emotions and not let our short-sightedness get the best of us, we may avoid negative consequences in the future. Government intervention will ultimately damage the industry. All such intervention has unforeseen consequences.

Also, it seems like there's no option to remove my comment. I'm thinking of disengaging from this discussion.
I understand the intentions of the unions, which are fine, but the real solution would be to remove government intervention from the economy. This includes removing any privileges certain companies may hold.
I'll admit I'm not deeply knowledgeable of the topic, hencewhy I tried not to make any grand, over-generalizing claims. But usually the advocacy of unions is associated with a type of anti-capitalist mentality from my experience, that's what bothers me.
Well, if by a strike you mean simply a collective refusal to work until the employer listens to your demands, then it's peaceful in my book. (although, if such an activity is against the contract the workers consented to, this makes the situation a little more complicated in my eyes)
It should not involve intimidating other workers (who aren't refusing to work) out of work.
Although, there are probably more complications to this than meets the eye. I'm thinking m...
Very well said. Completely agree.
Don't interpret my response as in any way hostile, but here are certain points I disagree with.
Well, like you've said, even the games that do the things you've listed don't actually actively/vocally/explicitly criticize the things I've listed. That is a problem. Explicitly making a point of things carries an entirely different weight and is something else entirely. To say that it's not needed is wrong.

It's a shame the game wasn't shown at E3, especially considering the void left by the lack of competition there. This COD's gameplay demo would have stood out considerably. Marketing strategy mistake, I suppose?
In a way, I feel sorry for Crystal Dynamics - seeing the underwhelming response to their game, especially considering it carries an Avengers license, a juggernaut of a franchise name backing it up, likely with great visuals to boot.
That being said, such critical feedback is necessary. Along with the seemingly simplistic combat, it also seems likely this game will contain many features of the much-disliked GAAS model.
Well, I'd say they're very misguided. Their resistance to the free giveaways is an extension of their resistance to ,in their view, "unethical" business practices - such as exclusivity deals.
Sure, the EGS doesn't have all of Steam's features - but how could it possibly have had them? It will obviously improve and gain those features in the future. Meanwhile, it makes sense to keep building up the user base.
That's excellent news! I just hope those are solid-quality games.
While I do sympathize with those who believe in Trump's policy (that is, I understand WHY they do it), I believe they need to push back against it as well. In this case, the corporations are correct - tarrifs will hurt gaming, and the economy at large, quite massively.
The government has no right to coerce anyone against buying foreign goods and services.
