This was announced everywhere two weeks ago. WTF I was referred to this site about a week ago and all I see is stupidity and ignorance. Sigh.

@Iamback, UltraNova: Wow you two are seriously deluded. Journalists always get free copies to review, look at Walt Mossberg, the dude gets every gadget months before they come out. That's the way it is and will always be.

"Bottom line is that MS hits bellow the waistline openly and shamelessly and always gets a free pass to go with it."

WTF, kid, you're a total moron. Your whole comment is lacking any sign of intelligence. How is giving away...

@Iamback: an IGN editor probably makes ~$60k a year, you think $300 is going to sway their opinion? What are you 12?

After reading through half of the comments here, I can deduce quite succinctly that you're almost all a bunch of morons and only a small few of you have any idea what you're talking about. That is all.

Just read through this thread and you're right, this place is over-run teenage PS3 fans.

Are you suggesting it only takes $300 to buy off a journalist?

It's not just Sony, smarty.

I honestly hope all these motion things fail.

I'm loving RDR, the atmosphere is top-notch, and wandering around the desert is real relaxing... but I don't think I'd want to play a sequel unless there were serious improvements and it was years off. I really don't particularly have an interest in the old West, but at the same time it's rare. I'd much rather see new ideas from Rockstar, like a take on Gangs of New York or a 1100s Mongolia or 1900s China or something.

I thought ME2 was rad, more action/adventure like a Zelda game than RPG, and I thought that was a good thing.

That said, Bioware doesn't have what it takes to do Zelda. Bethesda, on the other hand... or to be quite honest, I thought Risen felt a lot like Zelda without all the cool boss fights and temple puzzles.

An RPG is more about having a formulaic HP and attack damage, originally coming from the idea of rolling dice in D&D. The gameplay mechanic makes the game genre, not the story or NPCs or character upgrades or anything else.

I want to agree with you but I have no idea what this game has to do with Heavy Rain, or why people compare the two.

Bottom line is Alan Wake is not a great game, I don't even know if I consider it a good game. Watching the cutscenes is torturous, and the game play gets boring after you realize it never progresses from what you get in the tutorial.
