I'm wondering who above has played Bad Company 1? This game does look GREAT and I loved the first one but... it is other things that MIGHT make this unable to take over MW (I hope I'm wrong but this video reminded me a lot of the first game which was relatively unsuccessful). For one, the levels are usually incredibly large and you spawn back quite a bit from the action. Plus, the aiming system is a lot different. Also, there is a lot of clamoring for the vehicles and not so much for team...
For one, I know that I can change all the settings to get stuff to my liking, but one must judge on the default settings since that is what most people are going to keep (so it doesn't matter how hard it is). By the way... you guys sound like paid Microsoft people on their marketing budget. Why do you have to defend windows 7 so much. I listed advantages and disadvantages. IMO... Windows 7 is the best windows OS... but agree that it isn't worth the upgrade unless it comes with yr next pc ...
I wish I could share your thoughts. I'm a Microsoft Expert so I got my Windows 7 copy yesterday (same as the one that is coming to shelves soon) and so far it sucks.
Problems:
1. Install took about 5 times longer than Vista or XP install.
2. Time to open applications is about 3 times longer.
3. Why is the default option in the taskbar to have only icons with no labels??? Do you know how many companies make stupid icons?
4. Far too much default transpar...
I think I'm the only one that thinks this, but I fail to see a price cut. The elite should have never existed in the first place... it should have replaced the pro right off the bat.
What sucks is that this will hinder the user experience since many consumers don't know that they should get the high def. cables. Both of my roommates when I moved in were playing their 360's on standard tv resolution on their 40 inch HDTVs. It was a sad sight to see until I corrected them.

If Bungie would actually take the time to stop messing with physics and start adding features maybe I wouldn't have stopped purchasing their games. Halo 3 failed to have a simple dash function which adds so much to a game and would have been easy to accomplish. That alone is a necessary feature. At first I was excited to see that Left 4 Dead 2 was coming this year because I'm a huge fan of the first one and saw soooo much promise in the series. Here are two problems though:
The first game has a LOT of errors which Valve is not fixing. Now I know that they won't fix L4D 2. About half my games I enter the game just to find out my spot is already taken. WTF?
Second, I thought they were going to add perks and think outside the box for L4D 2. Nope... same ga...
When did E3 rumors become a kid coming up with stupid arguments? Microsoft has never produced a slim console while Sony has in the past. There are leaked photos of a possible slim PS3 while there aren't any from Microsoft. PS3 needs to slim to cut costs. Yeah... the sound is frankly embarrassing. I have my 360 in the living room now with 3 other roommates and I usually try and found out whatever game they like and install it to the hard drive so I don't have to be embarrassed about the sound when the ask. I normally agree that I can't tell a difference but this time it is actually kind of glaring. The 360 version easily wins in this case. The PS3 version has very dull colors and is too "smoothed over/blurred". Of course if u play the game I'm sure it looks great on either system. It is easier to critique when it is side by side.
Could have fooled me Microsoft when you didn't give me an option even when I asked for it. Since I had to print out a label and ship it back (paid for by the shipper) I chose not to send it out and just have a broken 360 as a paper weight. I'm mad they act like it has always been this way. Then again... maybe their foreign call centers I got connected to just are too stupid.
I agree that this stuff probably should have been in the game in the first place but since I absolutely love the game and game concept... I'll throw them some slack. These updates definitely are appreciated but what I probably want even more is the patch that the PC gamers got.
I can't wait for the smoker updates, toning down the auto shot gun against the tank, and making hitting against a jumping hunter work less.

I don't know but I think I like these prototypes better. But... most of all I like the original blades much better. I hate the way it is now. It makes looking at my friends list almost unusable and it takes too long to do what I want.
Wow... that isn't that big a difference. If your stats are right... blu-ray is much further then I ever thought it would be. You must have not have been around for the rise of DVD from the very beginning (1997 in the US) which was much slower then this and started mainly in PC's. What's weird about blu-ray adoption is that it is starting mainly in consoles and set top players. Guess that is what happens when a format is forced upon consumers.

I actually kind of like Vista but I totally disagree with your argument that Vista is faster or even fast on newer hardware. I have used the fastest Core Duo chip there is with one of the best video cards and it is still........ SLOW! When I went to "dash" in Halo 3 and they didn't have it... is when I started hating the franchise. To simply run at the same pace all the time is so boring with all the other major games offering a sprint or dash function. Plus... snipers are also too accurate that they make multiplayer a little stupid. They should make it like Call of Duty 4 where fights are all over... close range, medium range, and long range.

I'm having a problem installing SP3 on my machine. I even tried using Microsoft's 5 troubleshooting methods to install it and it failed each time. Keeps telling me an error occurred and it will have to uninstall.
It is a Dell Laptop with an Intel CPU with Windows XP Media Center Edition.
Did anyone find the Left 4 Dead 2 demo very boring compared to L4D 1? The developers took a lot of good things about the original and made it worse (except the graphics... those are improved). The gameplay just seems a lot slower. Plus, the new weapons just confuse me. Having a pistol, assault rifle, submachine gun, and a shotgun just made sense for a game like this.
