I like how this is a "Preview" yet the quote is stolen from a DualShockers Interview. Then when you read the "preview" you quickly realize it's a straight up opinion piece.
Bravo!
Here's the interview btw:
Please no one let Hollywood mess this up.
I think another problem is that while the tech demos in the videos shown were kind of cool, certain applications made absolutely no sense. The golf demo is the first one that comes to mind. What's the point of using the Wii U to place it on the floor, and yet still use the Wiimote to actually take the swing at it? Golf games have done more than well on the Wii as it is, how would this make the experience any better?
It's overcoming those kinds of hurdles that Nintend...
Really looking forward to this... saw the PS3 version in person. I just hope it keeps getting more polish as its the version I'm picking up for sure!
And that's the whole thing, people will read 6.5 and completely write it off. But the score itself is definitely above average and this game is definitely fun. Buggy at times, but fun.
I cannot say and hear enough good things about th is game!
Oh black materia, You So Crazy!
Ok, so here's the thing with when it comes to Japanese gamers and western games. THis isn't to upset people in anyway but it's known throughout the industry that the Japanese are a very nationalistic society. Everything (and with good reason) is all about Japan, with the gaming industry probably leading the debate.
Many people attributed Microsofts epic fail there to the fact that the Japanese can't adapt to the bigger controllers, and this was something that ...
U MAD?
@Jumper below - This wasn't Sony PR or a quote pulled from a press release. This was from a developer on the title.
Read the post.
LMAO!! Bubbles for you sir!
Hahaha I love your transcription of the interview!
He clearly did not.
Seriously, not forcing a co-op that shouldn't really be there should be rule number one for developers everywhere. It's nice to see that someone actually "gets" it.
I mean seriously who DOESN'T like pancakes? I want to meet that person!
On Topic: Not sure how MMO's do in a county that is so hell bent on playing their own products. (Monster Hunter and JRPGS)
@VampiricDragon
Gamers attention spans are getting smaller and smaller every single day, so now when they see the letters R P G , it looks like a four (even though it's only 3) letter word. They can say action all they want, but I played the damn thing. It may not have the depth of an elder scrolls title but all signs point to a role playing experience in terms of exploration and progression.
Let's meet half way and just say Action RPG. Does that soun...
Dude, its an RPG. For some reason or another all of the big publishers from the east are now scared to apply this whole JRPG stigma. Namco just said that Tales of Xillia isn't an RPG either. Give me a break.
If only walmart would get this aggressive too.
Maybe the price of in store firmware upgrades goes down? :p
Your username, avatar, and response are the reasons why I love the internet.
ZING!
