I think it depends more what the website stands for. If they want to give you the option to form your own opinion then that is fine. But opinionated Journalism is fine in its own right.
Without opinion though, the review just ends up being an advanced product description.
Also, how is it even possible to write a review without SOME form of opinion? For example, what "fact" are you going to say about the graphics? People judge graphics by dif...
I agree with all that except the opinion part. Reviews must have opinion in them. That's almost the whole point
This is actually ridiculous. The guy did nothing wrong. After all, many reviews WERE really venomous and the fact that he recognized them as such and did not want to do business with them anywhere is a sign of integrity. Yes, he should have talked to those people privately before sending out a tweet. That is a sign that he handled the situation wrongly. But tearing the guy down and making vile articles of your own (yes, ArsTechnica, you) is not appropriate either.
This is not AC3. It is an "add-on" as you call it. It will conclude Ezio's story and then it is assumed that AC3 will come out
