"the experience was alright but the constant 30 degree turns to realign the camera....", you do know that you can change this in the settings to be smooth (normal) turning yeah? They put the 30 degree turns in because some people feel more sick with the normal smooth motion but I personally prefer it like that. There are other settings there too for walking speed, etc. Maybe give it a try and see what you think
I always made the assumption that they charge more for digital because the PS4 and Xbox One allow you to game share. In my case I always buy the game on my sons gamertag but we have my console set as his main console for both the PS4 and Xbox. This effectively means that we are getting two games for that price as we can both play it at the same time.
