So, Albeta Online decided to end it's endless beta =)
I also haven't pledged, but I believe it'll launch bit earlier than what you assume =)
SOME changes? They totally revamped Knight, even totally removing one of his resource bars (mana) and putting + adding a bunch of things to stamina bar...among other things.
No Camelot Unchained on the list? I know, I know, "it won't be out in 2017", but they have Star Citizen (and many other in the same situation) enlisted... =(
To my disappointment, they changed "drink poison" to "drink holy water". That is, if a player wants to change body - he has to kill himself first and enter crow-form. It used to be done by poison, but some people on forums cried about it so it became holy water... meh... :(
Ah, that's classical example of a "MMO". Maybe, to majority of gamers (playing exclusively single / multiplayers) Destiny is simply the biggest they ever played. It looks much more massive from below.
It's happening all over the internet lately - even multiplayers, shooters etc. are being labeled as MMOs on auto-pilot, for whatever reason.
This way, body basically becomes a piece of gear - major one, with huge stats etc. but a piece anyway. And the account, progression and identity is tied to the crow-spirit.
I doubt Smite:Tactics and Sea of Thieves are even close to being MMOs, while CoE and P:RotF have severe problems with funding and game direction (this is just a kind way to spell a failure).
To add to that, Templars are currently only in internal tests. I hope we'll be able to play them sometime in January.
Finally! First step towards server-wide Embargos <3
A very natural step, which many other games still didn't make!?
Yep, we are still waiting on the first wave of Kickstarted MMOs (2013-15). This looks like 2020...
I expected to see more, well, skin :) Anyway this realistic approach has it's charm.
$10M already (they kickstarted last year!), and it just keeps on ticking! =)
They will remind us all very loudly, when the time comes =)
I expect to see 3D modeled rodents in next two weeks.
Yay Crowfall! =)
Finally. It was only a question of when and how.
I wish all the best to you in your future projects, Kojima-san!
Slightly off-topic, but here's a player made video about killing others on PvE server (that is, with PvP off) by building (!!): https://www.youtube.com/wat...
