That's actually genius. It won't disrupt gameplay and it will help Sony off set cost system/games.
I think they should continue to do what they are doing but spend more money on promoting their games.

Killzone 2/3 are still king in terms of console FPS graphics.
Even Halo 4 is looking superb.
I don't doubt Crytek ability as a tech studio but I don't think they can outdo dedicated PS3 devs like Guerilla, Naughty Dog, and Sony Santa Monica in terms of PS3 tech.
If they were PS3 only, they would probably get the most out of PS3 than any other PS3 devs but they are a multiplatform dev...
This deal was too good to pass up especially already being a PS+ member.
Even when Sony drops the price next year it will probably be $199.99 for the system itself whereas this is a bundle for $179.99 with a lot of value packed in.
This was a great purchase. I look forward to all the free games that I get to play. PSASBR, UC:GA, etc
I think Sony will try to make their next PlayStation powerful enough to support 4K Resolution for gaming at 30 FPS.
They have a history of using their PlayStations to demonstrate new technology that they are trying to push...i.e. CD-ROM, DVD, Blu-ray, 3D, etc
PC elitist fail to realize that 4K TVs will come into play within the lifetime of the PlayStation 4. Technology moves very quick.
I think devs will probably still make their games nativ...

I will skip the Wii U this time. I already own a PS3.
Why would I need a system that is on par or in some cases inferior to a PS3.
To be honest I don't think Nintendo devs are talented enough to produce HD graphics on par with the Uncharteds/Killzones/God of War/Gears of this gen.
These devs have been developing these HD engines and skills for over 7 yea...
That is impressive considering where they were with the price point at launch.
Looks like Microsoft will end up being 3rd once the PS4 and Xbox 720 launch.
PS3 will end up being close to Wii numbers or passing Wii numbers when all is said and done.
I think Sony has been consistent every console generation.
I think Nintendo and Microsoft's success this gen shows that they grew their brand.

For the record Uncharted 3 is better than Uncharted 2.
Uncharted 2 was a tad bit overrated IMHO. Uncharted 3 was everything Uncharted and Uncharted 2 were but better.
Uncharted 3 > Uncharted 2 > Uncharted
This is not a bad thing...one should want and expect sequels to build what was achieved previously.
