It's enlightening
That's totally true. It's more of a business ethics issue on that point.
Yep!
I think that episodes are made for stories. An example would be Telltale games (the whole first section of the article). A game like Hitman really doesn't need to be broken into episodes because it's a game mostly focused on gameplay.
I don't know about you, but I don't want to play my game in chunks. I want to sit down and play as much or as little as I want, and that's especially true for a game based around gameplay.
Waiting between levels may be a f...
I think it's more of a pacing issue. There's not much story, but the gameplay is broken up and disjointed. A hard story would make sense for episodes, but that isn't present here so episodes really aren't the best choice.
Had Square Enix waited, I think they would've had a good shot with this one.
That is an issue for sure. My argument is exactly yours. Hitman is NOT based on story so episodes really don't make sense for it. Plus, maybe a little extra development time may have worked out a lot of technical issues.
Now that you bring it up, it really seems like the game is being spoon-fed to us.
I think there's a way to make episodes work, but this model just seems lazy. It totally doesn't work for Hitman and completely kills hype.
Exactly! It really hurts the game overall.
The training mission killed me. Insanely boring.
My hopes were really high for this one!
I want the NX
Glad I didn't pick it up
GMG is great!
Couldn't be more excited.
