During The Walking Dead on AMC this past Sunday I saw an XBox One ad at almost every commercial break. I do not see PS4 ads nearly as often. If we look at the quantity of ads I would have to say XBox One wins.
The ads are very similar. Mostly live action with a message of social interaction with friends and other players. I would have to give the edge to Sony though as that song is stuck in my head right now.
Just 10 more days until next-gen!
I don't think the media is downplaying this issue at all. I have seen countless articles about the 720p vs 1080p issue.
Graphics matter. If they didn't why buy a next-gen system. For the people who don't care if their version of COD is 1080p then purchase it for your PS3 or 360.
If the Xbox One can only run COD: Ghost at 720p that may be the reason we are seeing a lot of the footage of the game being done from a PS4. The HD videos that IGN has been posting lately have all been from PS4.
This looks like a bug to me, definitely not overheating. If it was an overheating issue I would expect the system to completely lock up or shutdown.
I'm not to worried about bugs. They should get fixed in time. (Looking at you GTA Online :P)
29 more days!
I hadn't been able to start the first race. I downloaded the update this morning and was able to play without any problems.
Played for a couple hours before heading to work.
I have a Vita but this will be a great addition. The size of it looks very portable which means I can take it from one TV to another in my house or to the cottage for those rainy days.
This combined with PS4's remote play is very exciting.
I imagine this would also be a great option for gamers on a budget.
A $100 difference would not sway my decision on a console I will be using for the next 6+ years. However I'm sure there are a lot of people out there who's decision will be made because of that price difference.
If the PS4 was $100 more then the XB1 my decision would still be the PS4 just because the PS3 was able to provide me with a catalog of exclusives that I preferred over what the 360 offered.
I'm way to greedy to play most games split screen. Especially with an FPS. I want every inch of the screen to myself. :)
All the changes are being made because of low pre-order numbers. If pre-order numbers were on par with PS4 from day one Microsoft would have no reason to make any changes to their system and policies.
No one has asked the important question. If I manage to make my XB overheat what color of light will I get?
I hope it's Blue :)

Customers are speaking with their wallets.
A holiday price drop will help but their sales won't compare to X1 and PS4.
Nintendo as a company will be fine but the WiiU won't have good sales numbers. Even with Smash Bros., Mario Kart, and so on. The system is just not that appealing to the majority of gamers.
This game looks terrible. The Walking dead is a great franchise and deserves better.
I'd play Dead Island over this any day.
Sony should copy this. I remember them talking about it when they started the Trophy system but nothing happened.
I think PS+ members get this for free. Can't wait!
It looks like Burnout but not good.
This will be a "no buy" for me.
These are all great games and Gear of War 3 should be right up there with them. That said, Skyrim will end up winning GOTY whether we like it or not.
Wii U is basically a handheld console that you have to be at home to play.
They talked about it solving the problem of sharing a TV. I have a better solution, save your $300 and buy a second TV.
Nintendo had the chance with the millions of Wii's sold to make a mark on the industry and impress gamers but they couldn't muster up a good lineup of games. It didn't help that their system was outdated before it ever hit store shelves.
Wii U is j...
Tried one out a week ago. Had to drive 2 hours to a Sony Store that had a demo. It worked well but I got there shortly after someone dropped it on the floor at broke one of the head straps.
I didn't get to play with it much but it was enough to make me pre-order my online. I'm a habitual early adopter though.
I believe they shipped $1 billion dollars worth of COD to retailers but I know they haven't sold that much.
I happened to be at Walmart last night and noticed their cases still fully stocked with copies of the standard game and hardened editions.
They wont be taking any records back from GTA5 any time soon.
