1080p isn't really relevant do these weak systems either since they consistently fail to hit that resolution too.
Exactly. These systems are called 'next gen', and the next gen standard is 4K.
If they were consistently hitting the last gen standard of 1080p, that wouldn't be good enough
The fact they aren't even doing that is hilarious and depressing at the same time.
There's nothing fabulous about a game dipping to 15fps when Delsin is fighting more than a few people, just saying.
GTA 5 hasn't been released yet, so I'll reserve judgement for that when it is. Too many times now has a game looked good in promotion and then you see the cutbacks upon release. I wonder how much they had to cut the textures to get it to 1080p. What's the framerate like? Etc etc.
I had this problem a lot on my first PS4. Playing a game, it ejects the disc! The game I was in the middle of is ruined. Watching tv, randomly it ejects a disc! How annoying. Both times, the disc would not go back in, unless completely powered off from mains.
Exchanged the PS4 for a new one, haven't had the problem since.
This shouldn't be 'news' anymore, this is obvious to anyone who has half a braincell. My high end rig destroys my PS4. Heck, even my cousins low/mid end rig beats my PS4.
I only have the PS4 for exclusives, of which there better be more soon because right now it's seriously lacking.
I find it hard to believe they're going to make 99% of a game and then cancel it
That must be why every single game is 4K 60fps without fail
all running at a glorious 900p 30fps
Because they're not just arbitrary numbers.
"ARBITRARY: based on random choice or personal whim, rather than any reason or system"
I guarantee you this was not random. This was a deliberate choice because both consoles are too weak to handle this game at 1080p 60fps. You honestly think they went "yeahh man sure, 900p 30fps, that'll do lets get lunch!"
1080p/60fps are not arbitrary numbers, they're not an after...
Another day, another story showing both consoles as underpowered.
Good lord, memory isn't everything. Why don't people understand this?
IPC for your CPU and shaders/stream processors for your GPU are far more important. This is where the new consoles suffer (due to cost), and why so many games are downgraded before release
Adding 64gb of DDR3/GDDR5 to your APU isn't suddenly going to make every game 1080p 60fps. Memory is merely one part.
They say this, but then when the game actually comes out, 900p 30fps (dropping to 20fps during heavy action)
Honestly this is getting old. Neither of them are powerful, so please stop lying to us telling us they are. Focus on other things they CAN achieve like good gameplay.
Lets just hope that gen won't be a weak embarrassment like this one.
As a PC gamer even I'm depressed for you this time
I'm sure it will be, but how is this a story?
A developer is hardly gonna say 'my games going to be ok', 'some bits are quite boring'
Ah, that explains why every game on my PS4 is 1080p 60fps.
/sarcasm
I don't understand the disagrees, this is a clear fact.
Though with that said, you could go back even more than 6 years (to the Core2quads etc)... those would still be faster than the CPU's in the next gen consoles
Fantastic game, so much replay value. Well worth the £20 I paid on release, so for free it's a no brainer!
Of course it's the PS4's fault. When specs that weak devs can only do so much.
Ah the inevitable tech demo which will get downgraded to hell and back when the game is actually released.
