So is Sony behind this mess? Or I could go with the conspiracy theory of blaming Microsoft.
The world will never find out.
True, it appears that Sony is indeed trying to permanently fix this issue instead of leaving the service up and running in a spotty state.
Article makes a good point about the epic 15 day Xbox Live outage a few years back. We should all be grateful for that these services exist.
I didn't think this level of customization was possible on an open world sandbox game and to top it off the game looks spectacular!
Awesome video.
Thats what redundant failover and load-balancers are for. These servers will probably take regular backups as well. All standard practice stuff.
FYI - this story talks about the three levels (calculations) of damage modeling in GT5, goes over GTPlanet's analysis of at what levels each damage level unlocks. Also, includes Yamauchi's response to progressive damage unlock.
Not all devs just don't know how to use the PS3 hardware properly. If coded right, games can compete head to head with the PCs.
If you read the story he linked a previous story where he talks about Epic Games and Gears of War.
The previous story goes into detail on the Titan Pack for the PS3 being free.
Don't forget LBP and some other games get tons of free content on a regular basis as well.
360 is now almost 4 years old, time to move onto the PS3 where the ceiling still hasn't been reached.
It seems like the 360 is slowly dying out. Less games coming out and less support. It seems like Sony is on a roll and back to its glory days if they keep this up.
more halo.. what else can one ask for? ;)
I don't know it doesn't sound too bad, getting 10 free songs per month for a fee.
Since the going price is like $1 per song, maybe the fee will be $5/month so it would be a great value I think.
What Peter Hines said makes sense, seems like he is hiding something.
I know the check from M$ft looks good but think of your loyal fan base. its totally wrong to bring Broken steel to one system and not the other its totally screwed up!
Bethesda decided to exclusively bring 3 DLC expansions only to the Xbox 360 out of the kindness of their hearts even though they have a running version for the PS3.
Anyway, Microsoft did make an announcement about this during their press conference at E3.
Man this sound totally plausible, since M$ft only contracted for 3 DLC, it makes perfect sense that Bethesda would want to bring any DLC after the 3 to the PS3 as well.
If it weren't for M$ft throwing checks around the gaming industry would be in a better state.
PS3 gamers are getting shafted on things they should have had like Fallout 3 DLC.
The gaming industry was better off before M$ft brought their tyrannical monopolistic business practice into the industry.
Why wont they just bring over Dead rising and Lost Planet 2 for the PS3?
They promised to bring all major titles multiplatform.
If you read the story it makes sense and even David Jaffe backs it up. Sony would like it if they sell tons, but for them right now its more about building a solid library than aiming for a Halo 3 with every game.
Like David said, Sony would have never green lighted LittleBigPlanet if the company is all about making money. (The game still did good sales wise) These types of games are risky because they are not your traditional FPS or TPS etc...
I can get a Jasper, I heard those are suppose to be RRoD proof.
Although, I did see someone one the official forums saying that they have a brand new system, and it RRoD from the update.
This really sucks, I really dont understand why they can't fix this issue for good. I thought it was overheating problem? New systems should not be RRoD.
Yea, your right that whole Asia territory gets no sales coverage from India to China.
