I think your crazy if you think you can a new release DVD for $9. I use Zune all the time, you can get passes and things like that, its definitely convenience for me and I'm sure many others.
Its called convenience. I'm not sure since when you've been able to own a HD movie or Blu Ray for only $9? Bottom line is, RedBox costs gas money to drive out and rent movies, Zune has movies before they even come out on DVD or Blu Ray.

They've already said you can use or hold whatever you want for a Lightsaber. I know some people if they have enough space will use a Force FX Lightsaber. I think I'll probably use something, flashlight or maybe even the Move controller.
I'm definitely going to give the game a try, people will try to hate on something that is trying something new, but it looks like the game is going to be a definite success regardless.
I pre-ordered Assassins Creed 3 because they gave me a shiny metal collectors case by putting down $5.
I wouldn't have even done that if they didn't impress me with the new character and setting though.

Did you not read the article? Its for a whole new game, as in brand new IP. From the looks of the ad its for something that will be unprecedented in video games. Microsoft has the money to pull off something like a AAAA title for sure.
Looks like they are going all in for next generation.
The original Panzer Dragoon was 100% on rails and was a brilliant game.
Everything we've heard from people on Fable The Journey says its not on rails, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
I've played both Rise Of Nightmares and the XBLA Kinect game Haunt, both were not on rails and both offered full story games that tracked movement very well. So I'm not one of those people who thinks everything has to be on rails for Kinect.

$299 would be ideal. I don't think it will cost more than that and I'd be perfectly happy to pay that much for the chance to finally play Mario, Zelda, Metroid and Pikmen in HD.

It seems to have sold well enough to spark Microsoft to purchase Twisted Pixel and add them to their stable of first party developers.
I bought the game the first day it came out, one of the best experiences I've had with Kinect is with The Gunstringer.
I would recommend it to anyone with a Kinect.
This is definitely one of the best Kinect titles available. If anyone is interested, yes you can play the game sitting down and its really responsive. Also, the game is very tongue in cheek and has a lot of adult oriented humor.
Microsoft bought publishing rights, they were the ones who didn't want the PC version out at the same time as the Xbox 360 version.
Microsoft finally gave the go ahead to have the game published and put on PC since they don't look at the PC as a competing console.
The thing is, Microsoft still holds publishing rights, so any new Alan Wake would still most likely be out on the Xbox 720 or whatever before it goes to PC.
What a troll comment, why even bring the Xbox 360 into the conversation? You could have said you didn't like Alan Wake and thought it was short.
Yet you go on this long rant about how PS3 is the best thing ever, free internet, PS Home and all this stuff that is totally irrelevant to this story.
Alan Wake is a quality game and I'm glad its doing so well. Had people not pirated the game so much it could have easily done 3+ million by now.
Console companies start the R&D for new consoles as soon as the current ones launch. No doubt the Xbox 720 and PS4 have long been in the works.
I'd say it'll probably be the 720 though since Microsoft has such a good relationship with Epic Games and their has been Gears Of War Exile trademarked for a while.

I'm not sure why so many people are taking offense to this. Mario is big of course, but does it do Halo numbers anymore? Galaxy hit 5 million, Halo usually runs between 8-12 million.
Halo is one of the most recognizable franchises around. Certainly Chief is the mascot for Microsoft and the Xbox brand. Much in the same way that Mario is the mascot for Nintendo.

I think the fact that 343i has at least a few key group of former Bungie members helps ease some of the doubt.
When I saw who is currently working at 343i I got even more excited, those are some of the most well known people in the industry and they actually WANT to be working on Halo titles, which is a great thing.
People should like and enjoy what they work on, which definitely seems to be the case here.

It wouldn't have mattered, Sony used Windows in the Sony Vaio line of laptops, Microsoft uses DVD in Xbox 360's and Blu Ray in its PC's. They use each other in business all the time.
Blu Ray wont hinder Microsoft from a disk drive, its cheap now and effective.

Games are about games, it doesn't matter if its with Kinect, Move, Wii or 3DS. A game is a game and just because you might not like a particular idea like Kinect, doesn't mean its bad or wrong.
