Shame he didn't get one last moment at Sony's E3, but all the best to Boyes, he did a fine job and I'm sure he'll do just as well wherever he ends up.
@brokasfawk
God of War has been in development for around 3 years already and they've said it'll be soon, just not 2016, it'll almost definitely be 2017, unless something goes really wrong during the late stages of development.
Edit: an interview with Cory and Bear McCreary (the games composure), Cory says it'll be out "soon", and Bear McCreary says he started working on it 2 years ago and it had already been in early stages of development...
Why would they be jumping for joy? Naughty Dog's engine is one of the best in the industry and tailor made for their games, UE4 is fine, but has nothing on it, especially not when it comes to making your game on PS4.
Are they "skipping" it like they did last year, i.e, no conference but still had the biggest presence on the showfloor, or are they actually skipping it this time?
Get your facts out of here, SONY is doomed!
You're rooting for 10s of thousands of people to lose their job because you're a sad little fanboy? Grow up.
The only division losing money at Sony is the mobile one, literally every other one is profitable (some more than Playstation), you'll be waiting for a very long time for Sony to go bankrupt, it isn't 2012 anymore.
Edit: my bad, just woke up.
PlayStation isn't even their strongest division, it's good to know gamesindustry.biz don't have a clue about what they are talking about.
By some yes, others think it's the hardest, depends on your playstyle more than anything. The Old Hunters DLC is harder than anything in the other games imo though, no bosses have ever given me more trouble than the ones in there have., also has some amazing bosses too though
Every mainline MGS game besides 5 has been a PS timed exclusive, Sony never tried to pretend otherwise, or lie about it like MS did with Rise of The Tomb Raider, the outrage although it went a little too far imo (the rape threats on the VA was just pathetic), the reason a lot were annoyed made sense, MS either being vague about it, or just lying, should annoy everyone.
The other games you listed also made sense Bioshock didn't release on the PS3 until later due to it being hard ...
Lol, what? Sony was supporting the PS3 after the PS4 came (GT6 being the last big exclusive), 2013 was also one of the PS3's strongest years, they could have just done what Nintendo and MS did and slowed right down with exclusive 2-3 years before the Wii U and XB1 released, but they didn't, they supported their console right up to the end of it's life cycle (granted the first 2-3 years of PS3 was barren though), which is all they have to do. Why would I want next gen held back by ...
A slim PS4 would have to be one of the most pointless slimming of hardware ever. How much slimmer can they make it? The size of one of those Android boxes, they'd have to work some form of magic to achieve that without heating issues.
It might be a new gen for you, it's not considered such by Sony, hence the 4 in the name. It won't be the first time either, handheld consoles did it all the time, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, New 3DS just to name a few, there's also the billions of PSP and DS upgrades.
My guess is the PS5 will have it's own games, that are unplayable on the PS4 and PS4K, and it will obviously be significantly more powerful.
Edit: @below
Yeah, ...
No, it just won't be set in a pre existing universe, so won't be affected by events in the movie universe or any of the comic universes, will be it's own one, with it's own events and will still be able to use Spidey's lore.
@Gow fan
Yes, he's called Jörmungandr (or the Midgard Serpent), he was so large he could encircle the entire planet and bite his own tail, making it 131,477,280 feet tall, if he was to stretch straight up
http://mythical-and-paranor...
Edit: I never said stand, a Snake can straighten out and support a good length of itsel...
If you read the article, you would have seen that they did say how many active accounts there are.
It's 60m MAUs, for those too lazy to click.
Well, there is a serpent in the Norse mythology who is big enough to wrap around the world, so it's possible.
For who isn't it? It's a smart move for Marvel, as Sony are fully funding a potentially great game for them to springboard off with some of their other I.Ps, and a smart move for Sony, as Spider-Man is a huge I.P and a high-quality Spider-Man game(s) could be great system sellers.
It mightn't be a good move for those who don't have a PS4, but it's definitely not a dumb move on either Sony or Marvel part.
You've made the mistake that many do when talking about exclusive sales, Sony will also likely get at least one of these on top of the game sale, a PS+ sub, a hardware sale, a few more exclusive sales, or some multiplat game sales. They don't make exclusives just to sell software, they do them to get people spending money on their ecosystem.
Lol, like they care about being historically accurate, the games MP factions don't even include the French or the Russians (both of which played a much bigger role than the US did), I don't care about there being no females in MP, but don't use a BS reason to justify it.
It wasn't already?
