We played over the weekend, wrote the preview after and have just posted blushes the article - simples!
I think based on the potential chips which AMD have spec'd even if there is a handheld option, the size needed rules out a pure handheld device, even if a 3DS replacement or 2nd screen device was also bundled in!
Whilst our article is basically all speculation about what we'd like/ expect to see, I can't see there not being the ability to at least plug into a TV, even if it was at the furthest end of our predictions!
fingers crossed this is a good bit of content!
We have to agree to disagree then. On the lower two difficulties, 8-0 games in 5 minutes are ten a penny, and scoring huge curling shots from 30 yards is pretty common. It's all done 'realistically', but the frequency of the above is hardly 'real' football? It may be more of a sim for those playing on superstar difficulty, but that's hardly the majority of the audience?
It's a bit like the first Two Worlds. It starts difficult but as you level up and learn the animation timing things get easier. The frustrating thing is going into encounters with no idea of what the recommended level is (no Skyrim style scaling in play either)
Sigh... The calibration in game never appeared to do anything. I've seen plenty of other reviews that agree. It would maybe work for 10 seconds at best before drifting off again.
And for the other comment - games are growing up, and so are the reviewers. Most games are still 'M' rated, and that's fine where they are discussing interesting or difficult themes. But Blue Estate doesn't do anything with the humour - it's badly done, leaving a cheap taste ...
It's a real return to form after 2 pretty average to poor years, agreed.
In what way is it amateurish? Chapter 8 is literally devoid of enemies, yet has no atmosphere that could have sustained such a design choice. The pathfinding I did find useless. It's all opinion though. I have no problem with you disagreeing with my review, but petty insults?
I don't agree with microsofts policies, but they have tied up far more exclusives, and their own 1st party stuff looks for the most part better than what Sony is up to with PS4
not really.
Annnnnnd nothing much since though? It was all launch, not launch window.
To me that's not a problem on the harder difficulties, but it is on easy/ normal.
Playing through a lot of games per year makes me, at least in my own mind, better at games than the majority that will play this title. If I got frustrated on the default difficulty then mr average will definitely. Also, I feel like there were large spikes in difficulty and a lot of variety in checkpoint length, neither of which are particularly great design decisions in modern games.
That's speculation based on an article today about the graphics chip in the next Xbox- which could be total rubbish though!
nice!
For me, this would be a great little pickup if it wasn't all recycled content. I'd played it all before, so that definitely lowered my score.
Great, hope there will be some more PvR multiplayer as well!
stunning shots, let's hope it lives up to the original!
erm, super street fighter for me!
Hi Morganfell,
I was the reviewer for this title. I think I made it pretty clear that the levels were small and missions plentiful. It’s not my place to call out the developer over claims made at the time of announcing the game are true or not.
