why would they trade places with sony who is in the hole 4.5 billion+ with the ps3.

microsoft will make profit next gen from the git go because of the money they make from xbox live.
portal is also mine as well so far but the only games that i thing could take the crown for me are deus ex and halo ce(huge halo fan)
that only happens with fighters, j-rpgs, and racers. shooters and wrpgs almost always sell better on 360.
gameplay isnt what makes mass effect amazing, sure it was good in 2 and looks even better for 3 but its the story/universe that makes mass effect.
deus ex all the way, prey 2 looked good but there is so many games i want to buy i probably dont want to get a game that looks just good.
I do think the future halo games should be darker, like ODST but a little more.
6 million likely, 7 million possible, 8 million very unlikely, 10 million gears doesnt do halo numbers.
halo reach had like 2 million pre-orders gears 3 just over a million so far.
I deffinatly want to play a bunch of ip's that have been around for 30+ years.

No it means ps4 will likely launch in 2013 giving ps3 atleast 3 more years.

I do think its possible that they wanted to act like they had halo 4 for 360 only to "delay" it to next gen
