Marketing is definitely a big factor but other games manage to do well just by good word of mouth, Enslaved had great word of mouth among the gamers I know. It sure had some problems and rough edges but it was almost a relief to play something so different after the treadmill of samey games that surrounded it. People, the article isn't dissing cutscenes or Killzone. It is asking a question. Given the somewhat dubious quality of SOME of the acting and scripting in KZ2, is there a chance that Killzone 3 could be negatively affected by over-indulging in cutscenes if they turn out to be of the same, quite average, standard? Nobody is dissing the game or cutscenes!
The article is asking if having this volume of cutscenes COULD be a bad thing IF they turn out to filled with the type of thing seen in parts of kz2, i.e lots of moronic shouting and not much plot. The article is not saying Killzone 3 is not going to be good or even that the cutscenes are not going to be good. The author states he loves Killzone.
Total bullshit. The Wii has a long list of great titles that would, if you were you to sit down and finish them all, take you a hell of a long time to master. It also brought us motion controls, an innovation just like the 3ds is innovating with its glasses-less 3D.
