Meh, that was 15 whole clicks for generalized obviousness.
Added bonus: random, judgmental tripe about "acceptable ethnicities". Really, it wasn't worth the click.
Uh, the problem (from the article) is that the main game thread is quite expansive, as it was written for an Intel CPU.
It doesn't have anything at all to do with current-gen consoles, only splitting and optimizing the (always PC, never console) main thread to run across multiple threads, increasing the performance on AMD-based systems.
I have no idea where you're getting this PowerPC vs x86 processor thing.
@Maria
Expressing that he's annoyed by you isn't a personal attack, it's stating an opinion. You may be personally offended, but that doesn't transform it into a personal attack. :\
I was under the impression that Second Son wasn't coming out until 2014... I agree with your statement, however.
The EULA always said this. When you signed on to PSN the first time in 2006, you would have seen the exact same thing about background updates that you may not be aware of. I really don't understand what everyone is so up in arms about. Where was the thread about the Sony conspiracy before now? ...not really "news" is it? In the rush to put out a sensationalist headline, some "journalist" put this flame-bait together to bring out the trolls. And idiots fell for it, l...
High-school graduation present, it was perhaps the best gift ever given to myself... Part of me still hates EA for crippling the system by refusing to support it... Probably would have sold more consoles with Madden, NCAA, SSX, Burnout, etc. being released. ...jerks.
Some of the water effects look kinda funky, specifically the water cutting off the front of the boat. I seem to recall the Dreamcast version looking better than that. ...less shiny, HD-ey of course... I hope it's an alpha build, but probably still worth cheap money. :)
As much as I applaud Live for this, the kid should totally be allowed to show as many people as he'd like his stupidity. (Impeach him for..?) It's an opinion, stupid as it is. ...not a threat, or an outright lie, I'm pretty sure it's covered under the 1st amendment. Incidentally, I love the comments from the kid's dad in the article. Americans are amazing... It's truly astonishing how easy it is to sheep some people into a panic, and get them to react so irrationally (and against their ...
...no, really? Legal, you say? I always thought that piracy was, um, kinda not legal... Good to know, I guess. :)
Who cares? If you're a PC gamer, congrats. ...apparently you shall continue to be supported. Although, with some stupid DRM due to piracy. To declare that it has been, and will be the only way to actually play a game is ignorant. It wasn't until 1990 when side-scrolling and EGA graphics were possible on comsumer PC's that gaming really opened up on computers. The best (and really only) graphics around were on consoles... And for years after, it could be a headache to get running correc...

It's back up, Bi*ches!
:)
A friend, for example, is on his third 360. ...not refurb from MS, but from a Big Box. I'm on my third (!) Wii, so I'm just saying that tracking total consoles sold has nothing to do with the number of actual units being used by people out there... Feels silly to track, is all.
You lie!
